Elizabeth Nehring received her $25,000 scholarship award from Whitnall Park Rotary Club president Gilbert Frenn at the club's meeting on Tuesday September 8th of this year.
Elizabeth received the award from Rotary International on the basis of her academic and community service background. Her particular field of interest is the study of migration, principally forced migration, throughout the less developed portions of the planet.
She is now studying at the University of London in England with the goal of making more people and governments aware of this serious problem.
Club members expressed their admiration and support for this remarkable young woman at the weekly meeting.
