Looking for something for your kids to do this summer? Come to ancient Rome

July 2, 2009 | 0 comments

Have you ever wondered…

What it was like to sneak away from Roman guards?

What games kids played in ancient Rome?

How it felt to be one of the very first Christians?

Come find out – in Rome!

Join us for an unforgettable journey to first-century Rome this summer at New Hope Community Church! All children entering 5 year old kindergarten through entering 6th grade are welcome. The adventure takes place July 13-17th. City Gates open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 11:30 a.m. daily. Come early to register with the Centurion so you’ll be ready to become part of the real life action.

In the buzzing metropolis of Rome, you will experience it all! You’ll shop in the authentic marketplace, become an apprentice in metalworking or try your hand at carpentry (and keep what you make!), sample tasty tidbits, try on some togas and even pet some animals. Your Roman Family will travel to see Paul, who is under house arrest in his cell. After hearing the life-changing lessons from his writings, you will experience the thrill of (shhh!) visiting an underground church! You’ll also learn some amazing things about God’s love!

There is NO CHARGE for this program, and snacks will be provided. Please let us know if your child has any allergies. CDs and T-shirts are available for purchase for $6.00 each. If you have any questions about VBS, please call Kristen at 414-727-9195.

Register by sending your child’s name and grade to: nhccvbs@yahoo.com.

New Hope Community Church is located at 11321 W. St. Martins Rd. in Franklin, WI at the corner of St. Martin’s and Church St. For more information on the church and its core beliefs, please visit nhccinfo.net

So, grab your toga, strap on your sandals, invite your friends and GET READY TO ROME!!
