Franklin Girls Golf Off to a Good Start

Aug. 22, 2013

The Franklin Girls Varsity Golf team is off to a good start at the Mukwonago Golf Invitational featuring 14 teams at Edgewood Golf Course Monday August 19, 2013 led by sophomores, Megan Hessil with a 93 and Kristen Bowe scoring a 95 for a total team score of 387 points. The young varsity team features a junior, 3 sophomores and a freshman earning 3rd place after losing a close tie breaker to Waterford. Mukwonago won the tournament.

Last year, this young team earned last place at the same tournament with 427 points and it is apparent that they may be the sleeper team in the conference shaving 40 points off last year's score. Franklin's first year head coach, Brandy Johnson, is excited with her team's performance and future prospects.
