Community of " FRANKLIN OUTLOOK"

Feb. 7, 2013

Good Morning,
I live off of 88th Puetz road and am happy the store is not going in.
It would have been not good to have that traffic on Puetz rd and noise.
Suggestion: How about building a new gas station with store fronts/restaurants
there. The traffic is good from all directions plus Franklin is lacking a lot of
things. Oak Creek has more to offer then Franklin area, why is that?
Why is there no restaurants by the movie theater? All other communities have
places to eat.
Why is the industrial area have not much to offer for them, yes 27th street is there
and 76th street but there is land there to place more restaurants, like a coffee shop.
Why is Franklin so far behind in development? We have enough elderly facilities
what about Menard's area, wasn't there to be restaurants placed there?
Again my point, still vacant and we have been out here 18 years and the corner
of hwy36 and St. Martins is still the same eye sorer.
76th street the strip of Franklin, is also not put together well, you placed a 7eleven
gas station on the corner and took out a beautiful station that had a sitting area and
fireplace and placed a junk store gas station there, this doesn't look well for the uppity
up Franklin suburbs.
Sad after all this time and years Franklin is so far behind in things and not much to offer
families. Yes I will give you this that it is a good location but taxes high and for what?
Again not much to offer to the community here.
The 76th Rawson strip needs to have a face lift and some well known stores placed there,
look sentry gone and still sitting vacant, yes a new Walgreen's but seriously Walgreen's
are all over, not much improvement and the colors inside Walgreen are well lets say
warehouse look not inviting at all for a Franklin Community.
It's sad to say that being part of the Franklin community is well nice but sadly to say lacks
a lot in other places. we didn't need a mattress store by Target and Target was placed in a
low area and look at the lot, it had to be redone and it will need it again, someone wasn't
doing there job when this was placed there, the parking lot never should have sank.
Also placing a Starbucks in Target wasn't the best choice, people love coffee shops to sit down
and relax, use computers in that kind of setting, Targets setting is really uninviting and is in a bad
location no drive thru and not inviting by far. Who designed that? Pat himself on the back for a
bad idea plus it's not a real Starbucks, Starbucks have real coffee stations this one has coffee
in thermos. People have complained and I have heard them speak of this.
Look at all the store fronts there that are vacant, Franklin can't even fill them. I hope that Franklin
will take into consideration stores and restaurants that are needed here and will be used by the community
and bring in others to our Community, but as it stands, I hear from so many Franklin Families how
miss happy they are to be living here, that's sad to hear.
Please write a article on this issue and address this with the board. to many families will be
leaving the Franklin community if things here don't change and that would be deviating to Franklin.
Nice to here finally they are to up date the schools, they truly need it, it has been to long plus there is no
debt so this should go well for Franklin community.
As to the teachers in the schools I can speak for the High school they need to re look at some of them
and reconsider new, plus why is it that in the high school , I know for fact students come in in the morning
higher then a kite and teachers see this as do the New Principals and nothing is done, I can record this and
prove my point if needed instead the school seems to pick on students who have A's and B's and not the
students failing and using drugs. why is it that the Franklin Police department doesn't stop so much drug use
in the schools? I have witness myself teachers eating in class and not in there break room area and teachers
are reprimanding the students not to eat nor drink in class but the teachers may, again there are lots of
issues to be looked at and nothing is perfect, things like this should be addressed at the school board meeting
and counsel.
Let me know on any of these issues, I would really like to hear back from someone from Franklin Now.
Sincerely, Franklin Resident Patricia
