Support for Re-Election of Jeff Stone

Sept. 2, 2010 | 0 comments

I am supporting Jeff Stone for re-election to the Wisconsin State Assembly 82nd District. Jeff is a Republican and the 82nd District includes Greendale, Franklin and Greenfield west of 76th Street. Jeff has represented our District quietly and efficiently in the past, but to be re-elected I wanted to know what he will do for us now! Reducing Government and holding down taxes are great but not specific enough. So I met with Jeff several times and identified three issues that have his support and can be accomplished.

First, he will continue to protect the right of local government to control placement of sex offenders. He has done this successfully in the past but this issue needs constant vigilance. Second, he will join the push once again for Photo ID for Voting in Wisconsin Elections. Photo ID has been repeatedly upheld by the Courts in other States and is long overdue in Wisconsin. Finally, he will legislate for the reform of the Mediation/Arbitration Law that currently provides an unfair advantage to Unions in contract settlements. Right now if a local government or school board goes to arbitration to settle a contract, the Arbitrator does not have to consider the economic ability to pay in coming to a decision. Yikes, that’s like allowing someone to buy a house without considering their ability to pay. Wait, isn’t that why we are in this economic recession in the first place?

I’m voting for Jeff on September 14th, and his commitment to these three issues are the reason.

Sincerely,

David Miller

Greendale
