Franklin club member Zima will play soccer at Millikin
Jenny Zima of Greenfield will attend and play soccer for Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., next season.
Zima is a four-year letter-winner in soccer at Pius XI High School. She missed her junior season due to injury, but as a sophomore, Zima collected four goals and five assists to earn Classic 8 All-Conference honors.
She also plays club soccer for the Croatian Eagles SC in Franklin, scoring 15 goals and posting nine assists in 2011. She has taken part in national showcases for the Milwaukee Kickers Elite U-19's and the Fort Wayne Fever U-18's and has been a member of the Wisconsin Olympic Development Program team since 2007.
"Jenny is the type of player that we value in our program," Millikin coach Emily Johnson said. "She is technical and composed on the ball with a great sense of vision on the field, while demonstrating leadership skills both on and off the field."
