Greendale's Campbell
earns All-American honor
Kinsey Campbell, a Greendale native, made the second team of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American squad this season.
Campbell, a junior defender at NCAA Division III Loras College in Iowa, is just the second Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player to be named an NSCAA second-team All-American. She is also just the second All-American in Loras team history.
She played in every match for Loras, which finished 19-5, anchoring a defense that allowed just 1.17 goals per match and recorded eight shutouts. She also scored one goal and one assist on the season.
After suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her freshman season, Campbell has been a starter on the Duhawks' backline. She received a medical redshirt for her freshman year and will finish her college career next fall.
She was also named to D3soccer.com's All-American third-team.
