The Rock builds diamonds,

gets set for skiing season

The Rock Sports Complex, formerly Crystal Ridge Ski Hill in Franklin, is currently developing new baseball diamonds at the same time it is making snow for the 2012-13 skiing season.

The facility is also adding 15 new snow-making machines, two new terrain parks and new skiing and snowboarding equipment and has overhauled the ski lodge.

Season passes are now on sale through the beginning of January.

Franklin's Carlino, Ritzow

compete in fun run at UWM

Franklin junior Katie Carlino and freshman Jensen Ritzow both competed in a mile and 800 fun run at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The Sabers, who recently completed their 2012 season, have two seniors who plan to run in college next year, Emma Klein and Michelle Fedran.

In addition, three competed in colleges in 2012: Hannah Timm at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Cassie Hardy at Carthage College and El Walman at UW-Oshkosh.
