The hitting of junior Ryan Geil and the pitching of Ian Malmstadt were a 1-2 punch that couldn't be beat Tuesday night as Franklin shut out Muskego, 7-0, in the semifinal game of the Greater Metro Conference Tournament.
Malmstadt pitched a complete game, with six strikeouts and no walks. Geil was 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs.
Franklin will take on the winner of tonight's over semifinal between Marquette and Menomonee Falls in the title game on Wednesday.
