Franklin track
The Sabers' combined for eight event wins at the season-opening indoor Whitefish Bay Quadrangular on March 18.
The Franklin boys won the meet with 153 points behind victories from Jason Kinnard in the 60-yard hurdles (9.83 seconds), Phillip Guilbault in the mile (4 minutes, 58.45 seconds), Takuto Kobayashi in the 440 dash (1:00.82), Derek McElroy in the pole vault (10 feet-6 inches) and the 1,600-meter relay of Lance Baretz, McElroy, Brady Oates and James Pitcher (4:07.23).
The girls picked up victories from Sarah Talbott in the 60 dash (8.02), Jessica Zeman in the 220 dash (30.00) and the two-mile relay unit of Atalee Parameski, Mary Pitcher, Carolyn Guenther and Claire Brzeski (11:52.13).
The Sabers placed third.
