The summer baseball season will receive its annual area lidlifter on Saturday, May 23, when the eight-team Germantown Invitational is held on both the high school Dream Field and the junior varsity diamond.
Quarterfinal match-ups on the Dream Field include Menomonee Falls versus Greendale at 8 a.m. with the host Warhawks hosting Muskego at 10:15 a.m. Down on the JV diamond will be Kewaskum and Thomas More at 8 a.m. and Franklin and New Holstein at 10:15 a.m.
First-round consolation games will be held at 12:30 p.m. with championship semifinals at 2:30 p.m. The consolation final will be held on the JV field at 5 p.m. while the title game will be contested at the same time on the Dream Field.
New Holstein and Menomonee Falls were state tournament participants in 2008.
The concession stand will be open.
