BURGLARY

· A purse was stolen from a home in the 4200 block of West Oakwood Road between 2 and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 22. The home was entered through an unlocked garage door while the resident was working in the backyard. Police are investigating.

THEFT

· A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for stealing clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:25 p.m. Oct. 21.

· Two gold necklaces were stolen from a jewelry box inside a home in the 8200 block of South Shadwell Circle between Aug. 23 and Oct. 21. Loss is estimated at valued at $2,000. Police are following up with people who had access to the home.

· An employee called police after someone fraudulently purchased $589 worth of merchandise with a stolen credit card, then attempted to purchase a $1,000 gift card but was denied, at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 8 p.m. Oct. 21. Police contacted the owner of the credit card, a Wauwatosa resident, who stated that her wallet had been stolen in the Wauwatosa Village that evening; her credit cards had been fraudulently used in several locations.

· A 21-year-old Iola man was arrested for stealing clothing and makeup at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:15 a.m. Oct. 22.

· A man stole a car battery by placing it in the bottom of a baby stroller and walking out of Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., without paying for it about 10:05 a.m. Oct. 22. The man, described as a white man in his 20s wearing a Carhart hunter green jacket, blue jeans and a green T-shirt, was last seen leaving the lot in an older blue minivan with damage on the driver side.

· An 18-year-old Greenfield man and an 18-year-old St. Francis man were arrested for stealing hand tools at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, about 4 p.m. Oct. 22.

· A 19-year-old man was arrested for stealing clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 11:50 p.m. Oct. 22.

· An iPhone 4S was stolen from the boys junior varsity locker room at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., between 4 and 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

· A $25 auxiliary cable was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3900 block of West Heatheridge Drive about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

· About $40 was stolen from two unlocked vehicles in the 3900 block of West Heatheridge Drive between 9 p.m. Oct. 23 and 4:20 a.m. Oct. 24.

· A catalytic converter was stolen off a truck in the 6800 block of South Parkedge Circle, causing $240 worth of damage and loss. It was reported at 1:20 p.m. Oct. 24.

· An iPod and headphones were reported stolen from a locked vehicle in a driveway in the 7200 block of South Hillendale Drive at 3 p.m. Oct. 24.

· A 44-year-old woman was arrested for stealing a humidifier at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 24.

· A $5 work apron, change and a pack of cigarettes were stolen from a vehicle in the 7300 block of South Countryside Drive between the late evening hours of Oct. 23 and the morning hours of Oct. 24.

· Loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4200 block of West Madison Boulevard between the late evening hours of Oct. 23 and the morning hours of Oct. 24.

· A prescription bottle of pain pills and $250 were stolen from a home between the evening hours of Oct. 24 and the morning of Oct. 25. Police are attempting to find the person the owner identified as a suspect.

· A 25-year-old Franksville man was arrested for shoplifting bed sheets at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., and was taken into custody on Oak Creek Police Department, Greenfield Police Department and Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrants at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 25.

· A 23-year-old Franklin man was arrested for shoplifting/being party to a crime and obstructing an investigation for stealing liquor at Modern 41 Motel, 9375 S. 27th St., and fleeing in a silver Scion about 8:45 p.m. Oct. 26. He was found and taken into custody for probation violation at 10 p.m.

· An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting after they were caught concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27.

· A 26-year-old woman and a 34-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 12:50 p.m. Oct. 28.

· A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting 25 DVD movies at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 28.

DRUG POSSESSION

· A 23-year-old Caledonia man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 5800 block of West Oakwood Road at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 24.

· A 24-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of a Schedule II narcotic (oxycodone) after he was detained for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:25 p.m. Oct. 25.

· A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia and a 26-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of cocaine and on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for prostitution during a traffic stop in the 2600 block of West Rawson Avenue about 1:45 a.m. Oct. 26.

· A 30-year-old St. Francis man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 11600 block of West James Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 27. Police were investigating a property damage complaint when they found the drugs and paraphernalia inside his Jeep.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

· A 41-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving after he was seen driving on the wrong side of the road in the 5300 block of West Rawson Avenue about 12:35 a.m. Oct. 26. His blood-alcohol content was 0.09.

· A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at Loomis Road and 76th Street at 10:15 p.m. Oct. 26. His BAC was unavailable at the time of the report.

VANDALISM

· A side mirror was broken off a car in a driveway in the 9100 block of West Elm Court between 7 p.m. Oct. 23 and 11 a.m. Oct. 24.

· Illuminated pumpkins were smashed and yard lights cracked at a home in the 5300 block of West Preserve Court between 10 p.m. Oct. 26 and 8 a.m. Oct. 27. A special patrol was requested in the area.

· An object was used to crack a home's front window in the 8200 block of South Legend Drive during the evening hours of Oct. 28.

OTHER

· A 43-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for prowling and for a probation violation after he was seen driving a green pickup truck with pallets on it at General Thermodynamics, 4700 W. Ironwood Drive, at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 22.

· Two boys, ages 14 and 15, were cited for disorderly conduct after a physical altercation in a hallway at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., about 1:20 p.m. Oct. 22.

· A 21-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct when he was overheard threatening to beat up an employee after he attempted to buy ammunition and was denied at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 10:45 p.m. Oct. 25.

· Franklin police responded to five domestic violence calls and assisted the Franklin Fire Department with one rescue call and two fire calls between Oct. 21 and Oct. 28.
