BURGLARY

1A $50 suitcase and a $50 stroller/car seat were stolen out of an unlocked basement storage unit in the 7800 block of South Scepter Drive between Sept. 15 and Oct. 16.

2A bin filled with copper, valued around $400, was stolen out of an open garage in the 8200 block of South 88th Street between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Oct. 15. The empty bin was found in a neighbor's yard. Police are investigating.

3More than $8,700 was stolen from a safe at Culver's Restaurant, 4220 W. Oakwood Park Court, sometime between 10 p.m. Oct. 20 and 10 a.m. Oct. 21. The restaurant's alarm had been turned off and the drop safe found open when employees arrived for work in the morning.

THEFT

4Six "No Parking" signs were stolen off the walls of an underground parking garage and a lighted exit sign was damaged in the 6900 block of South Riverwood Boulevard between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15.

5A 23-year-old Michigan man was arrested for shoplifting merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4 p.m. Oct. 16.

6A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen hiding items at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

7Police are seeking a 24-year-old Milwaukee who was seen shoplifting $900 worth of TV series DVDs at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 1 p.m. Oct. 17. The suspect is known to steal movies from Target and then sell them on eBay.

8A 34-year-old man is suspected of stealing more than $900 worth of electronics from Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 1 p.m. Oct. 17. The man pushed a shopping cart out the door and to his car, unloaded the merchandise and drove away.

9An unknown suspect(s) slashed the top of a 2003 Ford Mustang convertible, and stole items from the vehicle and tried to steal the tires while it was parked in the 3900 block of West Madison Boulevard between the late evening hours of Oct. 17 and 7 a.m. Oct. 18.

10A riding lawnmower was reported stolen from the Oakwood Golf Course clubhouse, 3600 W. Oakwood Road, about 9:20 a.m. Oct. 21.

11A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4900 block of West Forest Hill Avenue about 9 a.m. Oct. 19.

12A 31-year-old man was arrested for theft after trying to steal tools and equipment from a residence in the 6300 block of South 35th Street about 11 a.m. Oct. 19.

13A 1996 Dodge Caravan was reported stolen from the Sunrise Motel, 9347 S. 27th St., about 6:30 a.m. Oct. 20. The vehicle's owner thinks a female named Red stole the vehicle.

DRUG POSSESSION

14A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 6400 block of Whitnall Park Drive at 11:25 p.m. Oct. 16.

VANDALISM

15A 2010 Ford Fusion was damaged while it was parked on the street in the 8000 block of South Legend Drive between 7:30 a.m. and 9:05 a.m. Oct. 16. It appeared someone intentionally threw rocks at the car, causing $2,200 in damage.

Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls between Oct. 15 and Oct. 18.
