BURGLARY

1About 80 feet of copper piping, valued at $1,000, was stolen from the basement of an abandoned home in the 7300 block of South 76th Street between May 15 and Nov. 19. A rear door was forced open to gain entry.

THEFT

2A metal cashbox containing cash was reported to have been stolen from a resident's room at Lake Pointe Manor, 8781 W. Travis Court, between Nov. 7 and Nov. 18. The cashbox was bolted to a closet floor and required a numeric code to unlock it. Police are questioning possible suspects.

3A woman's purse containing keys and a driver's license was stolen out of a shopping cart left in the cart corral at The Home Depot, 6489 S. 27th St., about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 17.

4A 15-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for stealing a $10 personalized money clip containing $45 from a man using the weight room at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., between 3 and 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

5Two 19-year-old women and one 19-year-old man, all of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting after the three were seen removing unpaid merchandise from Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., shortly before 6 a.m. Nov. 20. The man was cited for resisting arrest after he fled from officers.

6A registration sticker was cut off the license plate of a car in the 9100 block of West Highland Park Avenue between 9 a.m. Nov. 20 and 9 p.m. Nov. 22.

7Two 16-year-old girls, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:35 p.m. Nov. 20. One of the girls also was taken into custody for having an outstanding warrant for escape from custody with the Milwaukee Police Department and because she was listed as a missing juvenile.

8A 20-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for shoplifting $58 worth of makeup at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., shortly before 5 p.m. Nov. 20.

9A 34-year-old Franklin man was arrested for shoplifting two $50 dog collars at Menard's, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, shortly after 1 p.m. Nov. 21.

10A 25-year-old woman and a 32-year-old Oak Creek woman were arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 24.

DRUG POSSESSION

11A 23-year-old Mukwonago woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for felony operating a vehicle without the owner's consent and a 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for obstructing an investigation when officers responded to a suspicious activity call at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 22.

12A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of prescription drugs and on an outstanding felony warrant for possession of narcotics after a caller reported an intoxicated man was asking people for money in the 6500 block of South 27th Street at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 22. A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman who was with the man was arrested on two warrants for theft.

13A 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of heroin and oxycodone after he was taken into custody for stealing phone accessories at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:20 a.m. Nov. 23.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

14A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for second-offense drunken driving and third-offense driving with a revoked license and cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway on 27th Street at Rawson Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. Nov. 24. He also was taken into custody on a West Allis Police Department warrant for disorderly conduct. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

15An 85-year-old Franklin woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries after she was unable to negotiate a curve in the road and drove her car into a cement driveway embankment in the 7800 block of West Elm Court at 9:10 a.m. Nov. 17. She was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle.

VANDALISM

16A 15-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and vandalism in the 7400 block of Carter Circle South shortly before 2 p.m. Nov. 22.

OTHER

17A resident called police after she reportedly saw a cougar or mountain lion in the 6700 block of West Rawson Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Nov. 18. The large cat was apparently running south in an area just east of the Oak Leaf Trail.

18Officers responding to a report of a woman in a pink bra fighting another woman arrested a 20-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 20-year-old Illinois woman for disorderly conduct/fighting in a parking lot in the 3600 block of West College Avenue at 1:35 p.m. Nov. 21.

19A 46-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drugged driving after a resident reported that a vehicle was parked in the 8500 block of South 27th Street with its lights on and the driver was lying on the ground at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 21.

20A 19-year-old woman was cited for disorderly conduct after she had a verbal altercation and pushed another customer at Ashley Furniture, 6801 S. 27th St., shortly before 9 a.m. Nov. 23.

FIRE CALLS

21Firefighters and police responded to a bathroom fire in a condominium complex in the 4200 block of West College Avenue at 9:27 p.m. Nov. 23. Black smoke was still billowing out of the residence when firefighters arrived, but the fire had been extinguished. All residents were evacuated, and no one was injured. The fire was apparently caused by faulty electrical wiring in a ceiling fixture; a damage estimate was unavailable.

Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two fire calls between Nov. 19 and Nov. 25.
