Police Report: Nov. 26

BURGLARY

1A black, metal trunk was stolen from an unlocked storage locker at a residence in the 6400 block of South Whitnall Edge Road between Nov. 3 and Nov. 24. Loss is estimated at $100.

2Someone attempted to pry open the south main entrance door at Jaco Environmental, 10061 S. 54th St., between 4 p.m. Nov. 15 and 9 a.m. Nov. 18. The attempt was unsuccessful. An extra patrol was requested in the area.

3Someone broke into a residence/business in the 8400 block of South 76th Street between Nov. 1 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 18. Two windows were broken during the incident. The police report does not state whether anything was stolen.

THEFT

4An 18-year-old man was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 22 for shoplifting and underage possession of alcohol after he stole a cartload of merchandise, including Jagermeister and three cases of Bud Light, at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., Nov. 15. Store security officers say the man filling up a cart with liquor Nov. 22 and recognized him from the theft. The man gave officers a fake Florida ID card while being arrested.

5A generator was stolen out of a locked van at Surges Electric, 11340 W. Forest Home Ave., between 5 p.m. Nov. 15 and 5 a.m. Nov. 16.

6A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $77 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:10 p.m. Nov. 18.

7A man stole a pair of pants and shoes at The Salvation Army, 6341 S. 27th St., and drove off in a burgundy van about 4:25 p.m. Nov. 18. Officers went to the home of the person listed as the owner of the van, but that person was not home. Police were following up at the time of the report.

8A 16-year-old boy was arrested for stealing prescription medication from his mother's home in the 7800 block of South Scepter Drive at 5:35 p.m. Nov. 18.

9A 31-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she seen switching price tags on two hoodies at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 7:05 p.m. Nov. 18.

10About $200 was taken from a woman's wallet while she was working at Lake Terrace East, 6751 S. 68th St., between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 7 a.m. Nov. 19.

11Two women stole two boxes of pots and pans at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 19. Loss is estimated at $400. They drove off in a green, four-door, late 1990s Buick LeSabre.

12A 45-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $28 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 19.

13A truck's rear license plate was stolen in the 10800 block of West Coronado Court between 5:30 and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

14A 50-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting $33 worth of fiber optic cables at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 22.

15A woman was arrested for shoplifting $86 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:55 p.m. Nov. 22.

16A 36-year-old Franklin man was arrested for theft, destruction of property and obstructing an officer after he broke into an apartment in the 3600 block of West College Avenue and stole a laptop computer, then stole a vehicle in the 6300 block of South 35th Street, about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 23. He also was taken into custody on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for resisting arrest.

17A woman and a man stole a cartload of beer, soda and clothes at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6:55 p.m. Nov. 24. Police identified the woman as a 43-year-old woman who was involved in three other Walmart theft cases. Officers are looking for the woman.

ASSAULT

· A 21-year-old woman was arrested for physical abuse of a child at 5:55 p.m. Nov. 22 after a police and Milwaukee Child Welfare investigation revealed she had struck her boyfriend's 4-year-old daughter, causing bruising on her buttocks, Nov. 20. The child had been taken to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for treatment.

DRUG POSSESSION

18A 31-year-old West Allis man was arrested for possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a 30-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 34-year-old New Berlin man were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., at 6:40 a.m. Nov. 25. All three also were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

19A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and bail jumping, and cited for driving with a suspended license and unsafe lane deviation in the 7600 block of South 27th Street at 1:40 a.m. Nov. 22. His blood-alcohol content was 0.18.

20A 22-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control and hit and run after he struck a light pole at 68th Street and Imperial Drive with his vehicle and then left the scene at 3:40 a.m. Nov. 24. His BAC was 0.14.

21A 30-year-old man was arrested for causing injury by drunken driving after he threw his wife into the back seat of his vehicle and then drove into a tree in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle about 10:05 p.m. Nov. 24. His BAC was unavailable. Both people were treated at Froedtert Hospital.

ACCIDENTS

22A 25-year-old Franklin man was arrested for driving with a revoked license, 15th offense, hit and run and failure to report an accident after he struck a large, lighted Franklin sign with his vehicle in the 10000 block of South Franklin Drive and drove away about 6:20 a.m. Nov. 18.

VANDALISM

23A 52-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for trespassing and criminal damage to property after he broke a window at a residence in the 7300 block of South 76th Street, entered the home and defecated on the floor about 12:35 p.m. Nov. 18. In addition, he was taken into custody on a St. Francis Police Department warrant for trespassing.

24A walkway light was smashed in the 8100 block of South Legend Drive before 5:15 p.m. Nov. 20. An extra patrol was requested in the area.

OTHER

25A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., Nov. 13. This incident occurred the same day a counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Linda's Hallmark, 7205 S. 76th St. Police are investigating.

26A counterfeit $100 bill was presented at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 6:20 p.m. Nov. 19. After the store refused to accept the bill, the customer — described as a 6-foot-tall, 40- to 50-year-old black man with a thin build and wearing rectangular-framed glasses, a black puffy winter coat and a black winter hat — left the store.

27An intoxicated 40-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance and refused to pay his fare on a Milwaukee County Transit Bus, and then ran from MCTS security before police arrived, about 3:20 p.m. Nov. 22. Police found the man inside a restroom at Wendy's, 6715 S. 27th St., and then called in the Franklin Fire Department to take him to the hospital due to the level of his intoxication.

28A 43-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he created a disturbance by shouting obscenities after his credit card was denied at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:10 p.m. Nov. 22.

· Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24.
