Police Report: March 11

THEFT

1A 31-year-old Franklin woman and a 36-year-old West Allis man were arrested for shoplifting $165 worth of women's clothing and cosmetics at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 12:10 p.m. March 4. A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

2It was reported on March 5 that a four-foot by four-foot "Basil Ryan" sign was stolen from the right of way outside the Forest Home Animal Clinic, 11222 W. Forest Home Ave., sometime around Feb. 19. At the same time, it was reported that a two-foot by 18-inch political sign was stolen in the right of way by Hodach's, 9830 W. St. Martins Road, and a four-foot by four-foot political sign was stolen and a metal stake was stolen from private property on the southeast corner of Highway 100 and Puetz Road. One metal stake was damaged. The signs are valued at $155 and the stakes at $8 each.

3A 54-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting and trespassing after he was seen concealing DVD players and left the store without paying for them at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:15 p.m. March 5.

4A 27-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for shoplifting a $35 iPhone charger at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 9:50 p.m. March 5.

5A man driving a black Chevy Suburban left without paying for $97 worth of premium gasoline at Kwik Trip, 10750 W. Speedway Drive, about 8:15 p.m. March 6. Police checked the license plate number of the car, but the plate belonged to a car listed as stolen out of West Allis.

6The rear license plate was stolen off a 2008 Chevy Impala in the 7700 block of West Margaret Lane between 4 p.m. March 7 and 3 p.m. March 8.

7A man driving a black, four-door Cadillac with no plates left without paying for $68 worth of premium gas at Kwik Trip, 10750 W. Speedway Drive, about 11:30 a.m. March 9.

8A 31-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $65 worth of merchandise and a 51-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting and possession of marijuana at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6 p.m. March 9.

ASSAULT

9A 21-year-old Reeseville man was arrested for battery after he physically assaulted a 31-year-old woman, causing minor scratches and dark redness to the left side of her face, at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., about 4 a.m. March 7.

10A 36-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for shoplifting, battery to police officers, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and expelling a bodily fluid at an officer after she stole $67 worth of jewelry, and then kicked an officer in the head and another in the leg when they attempted to take her into custody at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 2:15 p.m. March 6. She was referred to the Bureau of Child Welfare for possible child abuse after employees at Walmart told police she was mistreating her 3-year-old son prior to her arrest.

DRUG POSSESSION

11An 18-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in a parking lot in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle at 1:40 a.m. March 9.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

12A 52-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at 76th Street and Loomis Road at 2:30 a.m. March 7. His blood-alcohol content was 0.14.

13A 39-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving at Loomis Road and Drexel Avenue about 8 a.m. March 8. His blood-alcohol content was 0.15.

14A 34-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for following too closely after she rear-ended another vehicle while driving an SUV on 51st Street at Drexel Avenue about 8:20 p.m. March 8. She refused to take a breath test and was taken into custody.

15A 66-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 6500 block of South Lovers Lane Road about 1:40 a.m. March 9. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

VANDALISM

16A mailbox was damaged and a van's window smashed out in the 7400 block of West Old Loomis Road between March 7 and 4 a.m. March 10. The mailbox appeared to have been struck by a baseball bat or similar object, and the window may have been broken after being shot with a BB gun. A damage estimate was unavailable.

OTHER

17A 27-year-old Kenosha man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he struck a 27-year-old woman and caused a disturbance by pounding on windows and becoming loud, boisterous and profane with officers and bouncers at On The Border, 10741 S. 27th St., at 3:10 a.m. March 9. The 27-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.

· Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls between March 4 and March 10.
