THEFT

1A 25-year-old woman was arrested for possession of stolen property after she was found driving a stolen truck in the parking lot at Ashley Furniture, 6801 S. 27th St., at 10:50 a.m. Dec. 28. The truck was stolen from a residence in South Milwaukee.

2A purse containing $600, a cellphone, a Social Security card and a credit card was stolen from a locked car in the 6400 block of South 92nd Street between noon and 1:20 p.m. Dec. 29. A window was smashed to gain access. Someone attempted to use the credit card at a Walgreens in West Allis.

3An Apple iPhone 4 was stolen from an employee bathroom at Pizza Hut, 7251 S. 76th St., between 3 and 5 p.m. Dec. 29.

4A man and woman shoplifted 15 bottles of liquor at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 3:15 p.m. Dec. 30. They drove off in a black SUV.

5A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing a bottle of Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka and a bottle of UV Whipped Vodka, a total value of $23, in the sleeve of his jacket at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4 p.m. Dec. 31.

6A 42-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting a home theater system and Tide detergent at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 7 p.m. Jan. 2. They also were taken into custody for shoplifting liquor at Walmart on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

7Two unidentified men shoplifted 10 bottles of liquor, a 24-pack of beer and two purple storage totes at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:25 p.m. Jan. 1.

8A 30-pack of beer was stolen from the trunk of an unlocked vehicle in the 9300 block of South 44th Court between the late evening hours of Jan. 1 and the morning of Jan. 2.

9A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting videogame controllers at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 3. He also was taken into custody on three Menomonee Falls Police Department warrants and a Butler Police Department warrant, and was cited for driving with a suspended license, 10th offense.

10On Jan. 3, a woman called police to report $400 worth of fraudulent charges had been made on her husband's credit card at four businesses after he lost it at Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., Dec. 26. Police are following up with video surveillance at the businesses.

11A 33-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen attempting to leave without paying for merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 3.

12Thirty-eight dollars was stolen from a wallet left in a backpack on the locker room floor during gym class at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., prior to 9:50 a.m. Jan. 4. Police have a suspect, a 17-year-old boy, and are following up.

13About $1,600 was stolen from the glove box of an unlocked car in an underground parking lot in the 6800 block of South 68th Street between 4 and 6:45 p.m. Jan. 6.

ASSAULT

14A 32-year-old Greenfield man was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Jan. 2 for physical abuse of a child for punching a 13-year-old boy in the leg while the child was in a waiting room at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, 10101 S. 27th St., Dec. 29.

DRUG POSSESSION

15A 40-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for speeding in the 11800 block of West Loomis Road at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

16A 24-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for drunken driving in the 2400 block of West Rawson Avenue at 2:45 a.m. Jan. 6. His blood-alcohol content was 0.17.

VANDALISM

17Christmas lights were cut into multiple pieces in the 7500 block of South Mission Hills Drive on Dec. 26.

18A door handle and lock were damaged on an interior door leading to a storage room at Shaq Enterprises, 11123 W. Forest Home Ave., between Jan. 1 and Jan. 3. A damage estimate was unavailable at the time of the report.

OTHER

19A 28-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance by yelling and screaming at the customer service counter at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 9:50 a.m. Dec. 28.

20A 41-year-old Franklin woman was cited for obstructing an investigation for lying to police about a burglary at her home in the 7400 block of South 75th Street at 9:15 p.m. Dec. 28.

21A 41-year-old man was cited for harassment after he made threatening and profanity-laced telephone calls to a resident of the 11100 block of West Forest Home Avenue prior to 5:40 p.m. Jan. 3. The tenant recorded the phone calls, and the man was mailed a citation.

22A counterfeit $50 bill was passed at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 2 p.m. Jan. 4. Police questioned the woman who passed the bill and released her due to lack of evidence.

23A 15-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he got angry, threw patio furniture around and started pounding on the door after his father found marijuana in the boy's jacket in the 9300 block of South Sherwood Drive at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 4.

24A 20-year-old Franklin man was arrested for underage drinking and obstructing an investigation after he drove his car into a ditch on 76th Street at Forest Hill Avenue, then left the scene at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 5. He also was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, driving with a suspended license and failure to report an accident.

25A 44-year-old man was arrested for loitering after he was seen holding a sign asking for money while in the median at 27th and Sycamore streets at 11:57 a.m. Jan. 5.

Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two rescue calls between Dec. 28 and Jan. 6.
