THEFT

Two males stole 100 scrap pallets from Group II Communications, 11311 W. Forest Home Ave., between 8:45 and 9:43 a.m. Dec. 24. A special watch was requested during non-business hours.

A resident in the 12200 block of West Forest Home Avenue reported two fraudulent purchases of $485 and $540 were made on his credit card at walmart.com at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 27. Walmart.com and the victim's bank were contacted and a fraud alert was activated.

An employee of Mapl Storage, 7761 W. Ryan Road, reported five checks were stolen from the business and one stolen check for $300 was cashed prior to 10:25 a.m. Dec. 28. A second stolen check for $780 did not clear the bank, and the remaining stolen checks were unaccounted for.

Money ($100) and other items were stolen out of locked lockers at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. Dec. 28. The suspect, a black male in his 30s wearing a blue dress shirt, cut the locks off the lockers to gain entry.

A loss prevention specialist reported the battery cage was stolen at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:23 a.m. Dec. 30. The suspects fled in a white, full-size Ford. The same suspects are wanted for similar thefts in the past.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she hid $72 of merchandise and tried to leave without paying at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:19 p.m. Dec. 30.

The driver of a white SUV left without paying for $51 of gas at Andy's, 5120 W. Ryan Road, at 1 p.m. Dec. 31.

The driver of a green, two-door Cadillac left without paying for $61 of gas at Open Pantry, 7610 W. Rawson Ave., at 12:05 p.m. Jan. 1.

A smartphone and $23 were stolen from a locked locker at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 5:10 and 6:30 a.m. Jan. 3. Someone cut the padlock on the locker to gain access. Several other locks were also cut, but no thefts from those lockers were reported.

ASSAULT

A 37-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for physical abuse of a child after she punched her 14-year-old daughter in the face and slammed her head on the floor in a room at the Embassy Motel, 8253 S. 27th St., at 8 p.m. Jan. 1. A 31-year-old Milwaukee man at the scene was also arrested for disorderly conduct and taken into custody for a probation/parole violation.

DRUG POSSESSION

A 21-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 4000 block of West Minnesota Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Dec. 28.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 20-year-old St. Francis woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for deviation from a designated lane on Brunn Drive and Riverview Road at 2:36 a.m. Dec. 30. Her blood alcohol content was 0.19.

A 21-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3400 block of West Puetz Road at 6:07 a.m. Dec. 31.

A 44-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving in the 8900 block of South 27th Street at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 1. His BAC was 0.12.

A 19-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving in the 7600 block of West Ryan Road after an off-duty officer called to report a possible drunk driver nearly striking a motorist head-on at 7:49 a.m. Jan. 1. His BAC was 0.15. A passenger in his vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle.

VANDALISM

The back window of a Dodge Caravan was smashed out while it was parked in the 7800 block of West Imperial Drive between 10 p.m. Jan. 1 and 8:15 p.m. Jan. 2. Nothing was reported stolen from the van.

A decorative fence, valued at $160, and a mailbox, valued at $50, were damaged by an unknown vehicle in the 12200 block of West Scherrel Drive between 10 p.m. Jan. 1 and 8 a.m. Jan. 2. The reporting officer stated it appeared a car slid of the road due to the light dusting of snow and damaged the property.

Franklin police assisted with two rescue calls between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2.
