BURGLARY

A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for burglary, motor vehicle theft and vandalism about 10:55 a.m. Jan. 23 for breaking into Speedway Auto Detailing, 6742 S. 112th St., stealing a motorcycle and damaging another motorcycle between the late evening hours of Jan. 20 and 8:50 a.m. Jan. 21.

THEFT

A rear license plate was stolen off a truck at Ewald, 6319 S. 108th St., between 12:30 p.m. Jan. 19 and 9:20 a.m. Jan. 21.

A 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was stolen from the lot at Ewald Automotive, 6319 S. 108th St., at 12:47 p.m. Jan. 20.

A woman's wallet was stolen out of a shopping cart at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., between about 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Jan. 21.

Two counterfeit $100 bills were passed at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., prior to 9 a.m. Jan. 22. The bills were confiscated by police and sent to U.S. Secret Service.

Three batteries were stolen from a produce truck parked behind Omega Restaurant, 7041 S. 27th St., between 11 p.m. Jan. 22 and 7 a.m. Jan. 23.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 25. The woman was arrested for seven incidents of shoplifting at both Pick 'n Save stores in Franklin. She is accused of stealing $76 worth of groceries between Dec. 26 and Jan. 25.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6 p.m. Jan. 25.

A catalytic converter was stolen off a vehicle at Gander Mountain, 6939 S. Riverwood Blvd., between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

Police are seeking two men who shoplifted a total of 20 bottles of vodka, a value of $374, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., Jan. 23 and Jan. 25. The men were driving stolen cars.

DRUG POSSESSION

An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana at the Skyway Motel, 8361 S. 27th St., at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 44-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving after she drove her car through a back yard in the 7100 block of West Drexel Avenue at 10:24 p.m. Jan. 25. Officers found the woman's vehicle on Drexel Avenue at Stonebrook Court, where they took her into custody.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested for violating absolute sobriety during a traffic stop in the 4300 block of West Hilltop Lane at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 27. His blood-alcohol content was 0.049. A 17-year-old female passenger in his car was cited for underage drinking and was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. Her BAC was 0.10. The two admitted they had been drinking alcohol earlier in the evening at a home in the 9000 block of South Deerbrooke Court.

ACCIDENTS

An 18-year-old Franklin man was taken to the hospital for treatment of undetermined injuries after he struck a southbound car while attempting to make a left turn from 76th Street onto Rawson Avenue about 6:20 p.m. Jan. 19. He was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

Two Milwaukee women, 21 and 43, were taken to the hospital after their vehicles collided at Rawson Avenue and 27th Street about 6:40 a.m. Jan. 21. The 21-year-old woman was cited for failing to yield the right of way and disregarding a traffic signal, and the 43-year-old woman was cited for disregarding a traffic sign/signal for driving straight ahead in a right-turn-only lane.

VANDALISM

The front door of a home in the 2800 block of West Southway Drive was kicked in between Jan. 18 and 1:10 p.m. Jan. 21. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.

A vehicle's tires were slashed in the 6400 block of South 27th Street between the late evening hours of Jan. 26 and 2:25 p.m. Jan. 27.

A vehicle's passenger-side tires were punctured and its driver-side door scratched while it was parked in a secured, underground parking area in the 7000 block of South Riverwood Boulevard before 12:35 p.m. Jan. 27.

OTHER

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after he swore at a teacher and caused a disturbance at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., about 2 p.m. Jan. 21.

A 20-year-old woman was arrested for obstructing an investigation at Target in Franklin after she ran from officers who were investigating a shoplifting incident at Sally Beauty Supply, 7700 S. Lover's Lane Road, at 7:25 p.m. Jan. 22.

A resident called police to report several people were opening cases of soda and spraying them on the road and leaving the cans in the roadway in the 3600 block of West Sherwood Drive at 4:12 p.m. Jan. 24. The people were gone when officers arrived.

An anonymous caller reported seeing a cougar run in front of her vehicle at 51st Street and Puetz Road about 6:25 p.m. Jan. 24. Police checked the area but did not find any big cats.

A 54-year-old Arizona man was arrested for carrying a concealed knife in the 2900 block of West Forest Hill Avenue after police received a report of a man soliciting customers in an attempt to sell jewelry in the parking lot at Walmart at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 26.

A 19-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for uttering after they tried to cash fraudulent checks at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:20 p.m. Jan. 27. A manager called police to report two vans full of people who are coming into the store one by one trying to cash suspicious checks.
