BURGLARY
Kitchen appliances were taken from a rental property in the 9800 block of South 27th Street prior to 7 p.m. Jan. 17. The unidentified person broke the window on the front door to gain entry and also took fencing from the property.
THEFT
A wedding ring, a gold band with a 2.5-carat diamond, was taken from a residence in the 6300 block of South 35th Street between Jan. 1 and Jan. 18.
A 17-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for shoplifting $40 of clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 18.
Two unidentified suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts entered three unlocked cars in a driveway and took a GPS unit from one of the vehicles in the 6500 block of South 116th Street shortly after 10 p.m. Jan. 18. The victim's son chased the suspects into a wooded area near 122nd Street and Parkview, but police were unable to locate them.
A 23-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for shoplifting two knives and a stereo cord at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:10 p.m. Jan. 19.
A loss prevention specialist at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, called police at noon Jan. 20 to report the theft of $263 of frozen shrimp by two unidentified male suspects at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 19. Video surveillance is available and police are following up.
The driver of a green, four-door vehicle left without paying for $40 of gas at Open Pantry, 7610 W. Rawson Ave., at 9:50 p.m. Jan. 20.
A license plate was taken off a truck in the 9300 block of West Briarwood Drive between 11 p.m. Jan. 15 and 10 a.m. Jan. 21.
A 46-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for shoplifting $137 of clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21.
A 22-year-old Greendale woman was arrested for shoplifting DVDs, valued at $93, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 10:08 p.m. Jan. 22.
ASSAULT
A 21-year-old man called police to report he was sexually assaulted by an unknown male at Landmark Tavern, 11401 W. Swiss St., at 9:30 p.m. Jan. 22. Police are investigating.
DRUG POSSESSION
A 19-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on South 108th Street and West College Avenue at 2:11 a.m. Jan. 21.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
A 33-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 11200 block of West Loomis Road at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 18. She was also cited for failure to maintain control of her vehicle and texting while driving. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.14.
A 47-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for drunken driving, fifth offense, and driving after revocation in the 8400 block of West Ryan Road at 10 p.m. Jan. 22. He was also cited for passing in a no-passing zone. His BAC was unavailable.
ACCIDENTS
A 53-year-old Greenfield man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan with a possible neck injury after his car was struck and pushed into the center median by a driver who lost control of his vehicle in the 8600 block of West Loomis Road at 1:33 p.m. Jan. 20. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 19-year-old Waterford man, was cited for speeding/driving too fast for conditions and failure to have control of his vehicle.
Two adults and three children were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after a car traveling west on Loomis Road struck a vehicle attempting to make a left turn from eastbound Loomis Road onto northbound Highway 100 at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 20. The driver of the vehicle making the left turn, a 47-year-old Milwaukee woman, was cited for failure to yield right of way.
OTHER
A 22-year-old Franklin man was cited for disorderly conduct/noise nuisance after neighbors complained about loud music coming from his residence in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle at 9:35 p.m. Jan. 17. The subject had received two municipal citations for excessive noise on Jan. 15 and 16.
A 22-year-old woman was cited for harassment after repeatedly calling and texting a 33-year-old man at his workplace in the 6500 block of South 27th Street on Jan. 18.
A 35-year-old Franklin woman was cited for obstructing after she ran into her house in the 11600 block of West Ryan Road and locked her door when police attempted to question her about an outstanding warrant at 2:50 p.m. Jan. 18.
A 39-year-old Greendale man was arrested for disorderly conduct/obstructing for creating a disturbance in the pharmacy area at Walgreens, 7130 S. 76th St., at 11:10 a.m. Jan. 22.
