Police Report: Jan. 22

1Ten totes containing women's clothing and other items were stolen from a shed in the 7200 block of South 35th Street between noon and 4:20 p.m. Jan. 16. Police are following up with a suspect.

2A home in the 6700 block of South North Cape Road was broken into and ransacked prior to 2:55 p.m. Jan. 20. The home was entered through a bedroom window. Nothing was reported missing from the home.


3A 39-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting groceries at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 8:45 p.m. Jan. 7.

4A 25-year-old Fort Atkinson woman was arrested for shoplifting beauty supplies at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:10 p.m. Jan. 9.

5A 39-year-old Michigan woman was arrested for shoplifting clothing and personal hygiene products at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 10.

6A 57-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting a DVD and a baby swing and on two Greendale Police Department warrants for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4 p.m. Jan. 10. He has two previous shoplifting offenses on his record.

7A 52-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for shoplifting after he was seen trying to remove $274 worth of bedding from Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., without paying at 6:55 p.m. Jan. 11. The man took off when he was spotted by an employee. He was identified through past arrests at the store and was cited by mail.

8A laptop computer was stolen off a kitchen table in an apartment in the 7800 block of South Scepter Drive between 8 p.m. Jan. 13 and 5 p.m. Jan. 14.

9A 20-year-old St. Francis man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 2 p.m. Jan. 14.

10An iPhone was stolen from a student at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., prior to 3 p.m. Jan. 14.

11A 31-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $55 worth of children's clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:20 p.m. Jan. 15.


A 17-year-old boy was arrested for second-degree sexual assault about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 17. He is accused of forcing himself on a 16-year-old girl, touching her breasts and genitals repeatedly, at a Franklin home in August.


12A 28-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for deviating from a designated lane in the 9200 block of West Briarwood Drive at 2:25 a.m. Jan. 16. His blood-alcohol content was 0.17.


13A 21-year-old man was cited for reckless driving and driving too fast for conditions after he allegedly rammed a parked vehicle with his pickup truck outside a home in the 2800 block of West Rawson Avenue about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 15. The man told police that although he went to the residence to "kick the (expletive)" of the vehicle owner, he did not intentionally ram the vehicle but rather slid on some ice.

14A 49-year-old Milwaukee man was taken to the hospital after he ran a stoplight and collided with a vehicle at Forest Home Avenue and Speedway Drive at 9:23 a.m. Jan. 17. He was cited for disregarding a traffic signal.


15A 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were cited for vandalizing the auto shop at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., the week of Jan. 14.


16A resident reported seeing a coyote running in the 7300 block of West Imperial Drive about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 14.

17A counterfeit $5 bill was passed at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., Jan. 14.

18Police arrested a 16-year-old boy for false imprisonment in the 7300 block of South 51st Street about 9 p.m. Jan. 16 after he held his mother in her residence and wouldn't allow her to leave or call the police.

19A 19-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Chapel Hill Drive at Candlestick Lane at 2:55 a.m. Jan. 18.

Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with two rescue calls between Jan. 14 and Jan. 20.
