BURGLARY

1Someone broke into Gus' Mexican Cantina, 6514 S. Lovers Lane Road, by breaking through a glass patio door about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 7. Nothing was reported stolen from inside the restaurant.

THEFT

2The driver of a black Toyota Tacoma bearing stolen license plates left without paying for $73 worth of premium gas at Kwik Trip, 10750 W. Speedway Drive, about 9:20 a.m. Jan. 6. The same vehicle is believed to have been involved in a similar gas theft Dec. 31.

3A 30-year-old man and a 47-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia after they were seen concealing four bottles of perfume at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, and then left in a green Ford Explorer occupied by two other men about 4:05 p.m. Jan. 7. Police pulled them over in the 7100 block of South Lovers Lane Road, where they also arrested a 22-year-old man for possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle and a 33-year-old Milwaukee man on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for receiving stolen property. In addition, the 33-year-old man was cited for driving with a suspended license, fifth offense, driving without insurance, driving with suspended registration and having open intoxicants in a vehicle.

4A 28-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting, fourth offense, trespassing and bail-jumping after she was seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 12:10 p.m. Jan. 8.

5A 37-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting a Bose earpiece at Sam's Club, 6705 S. 27th St., about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 9.

6Two males stole a $269 pair of frames at Wisconsin Vision, 8225 S. 27th St., about 11:05 a.m. Jan. 10. They are described as a white male wearing a baseball cap with a yellow bill, blue jacket and Pius sweat pants and a white male wearing a black jacket and blue stocking hat. They drove away in a silver Pontiac Grand Am.

7Two 28-year-old women, both of Odanah, were arrested for stealing clothing and movies on DVD at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 7 p.m. Jan. 10.

8A purse was stolen from a locked car outside Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 9:30 and 10:15 a.m. Jan. 11. A window was smashed to gain entry.

9A backpack was stolen out of a locked car at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., between 9:50 and 10:15 a.m. Jan. 11. A window was smashed to gain entry.

10A woman reported her purse, containing her driver's license, credit cards, personal ID and keys, was stolen out of her shopping cart when she inadvertently forgot to remove it from the cart before leaving the parking lot at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 11. The woman returned to the lot after she realized she forgot it, but the purse was gone.

11A 54-year-old Colorado man was arrested for stealing a vacuum cleaner and was taken into custody on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 9:15 p.m. Jan. 12.

DRUG POSSESSION

12An 18-year-old South Milwaukee woman was cited for possession of marijuana and a 19-year-old Oak Creek woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 6400 block of South 27th Street about 4:45 a.m. Jan. 8.

13A 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana after K9 Charlie indicated on his vehicle during a traffic stop at 51st Street and Drexel Avenue about 1 p.m. Jan. 9.

14A 21-year-old man was arrested for manufacturing/possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 8100 block of South 58th Street about 2:20 p.m. Jan. 10.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

15A 47-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, and a probation violation in the 8800 block of Whispering Oaks Court at 2:05 a.m. Jan. 10. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.13.

VANDALISM

16A chair was thrown at the front door of a residence in the 6500 block of West River Pointe Drive, breaking a single pane of glass on the door, about 2:20 a.m. Jan. 12. Damage is estimated at $500.

OTHER

17Three people passed three counterfeit $100 bills at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 3:13 and 3:17 p.m. Jan. 7. The people, described as a black female with "very poofy" pinkish/reddish hair, a stocky black female and a black male with a hood pulled over his head, all bought small amounts of merchandise and received large amounts of change by passing washed $5 bills that were reprinted as $100 bills. Police reviewed video surveillance; investigation is ongoing.

18A 36-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3600 block of West College Avenue about 6 a.m. Jan. 11.

19A pharmacist at Walgreens, 9909 W. Loomis Road, called police after a woman dropped off a prescription written on a prescription pad that had been stolen from the Boone Clinic in Columbia, Mo., at 12:40 p.m. Jan. 11. The woman left the lot in a black vehicle with tinted windows. Police confirmed the prescription pad was stolen about three months ago and has been used about 40 times in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. Greendale police also responded to the Walgreens there for a report of a similar person waiting for a prescription, but she left prior to police arrival.

20A resident of the 8400 block of South 116th Street reported his dog may have been shot with a BB or pellet gun, causing a 2-millimeter to 3-millimeter hole behind his right leg about 3:55 p.m. Jan. 12.

· Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with two rescue calls between Jan. 6 and Jan. 12.
