Police Report: Feb. 12

THEFT

1A 45-year-old woman was cited for shoplifting after she failed to pay for a loaf of bread and three bags of rolls in the self-checkout lane at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 5 p.m. Feb. 1. The woman has committed similar thefts at Pick 'n Save stores in Hales Corners and Burlington. The incident was captured on video surveillance and she was cited by mail.

2A 21-year-old West Bend man shoplifted a $179 cellphone by cutting it off a locked peg hook at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 9:22 p.m. Feb. 1. The incident was captured on video surveillance and police are attempting to locate the suspect.

3A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting $156 worth of merchandise and was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon (a box cutter) at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:40 p.m. Feb. 4. The man, who had 3-year-old child with him at the time of the incident, was cited and released.

4A 27-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for shoplifting an undisclosed amount of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:40 p.m. Feb. 4.

5An iPhone and a purse containing $150 and credit cards were stolen from a locked car at Whitnall Park Golf Course, 6701 S. Park Road, between 6 and 7 p.m. Feb. 5. One of the vehicle's windows was smashed, and fraudulent purchases were made using the stolen credit cards.

6A 71-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting clothing and personal hygiene products at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 6.

7A 54-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he attempted to steal a tote bag, two shirts and three pairs of shoes, a total value of $106, at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 6.

8A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting men's clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 7.

9Three bottles of prescription pain pills were reported stolen from a residence in the 6300 block of South 27th Street at 9:45 a.m. Feb. 9. The theft took place between 3 and 7 p.m. Feb. 8.

10A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $10 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 9.

11On Feb. 10, an employee called police to report an unidentified man had shoplifted two cellphones, valued at $200 each, by cutting them off locked pegs and concealing them under his jacket at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 8:54 and 9:05 p.m. Jan. 29. The suspect was identified as a 21-year-old West Bend man, who is wanted for several cellphone thefts at Target and other stores.

DRUG POSSESSION

12A 14-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana at Indian Community School, 10405 W. St. Martins Road, at 9:22 a.m. Feb. 6.

13Two 18-year-old men, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested for possession of marijuana at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 7.

14A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana after he was pulled over and cited for driving with a revoked license in the Mobil Gas lot, 7103 S. 27th St., at 11:15 p.m. Feb. 9.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

15A 43-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after he lost control of his car, spun about 180 degrees and struck a westbound car while he was driving east on St. Martins Road at Scherrei Drive about 9:15 a.m. Feb. 1. His blood-alcohol content was 0.14. The driver of the other vehicle complained of a possible head injury but refused an ambulance.

16A 25-year-old Franksville man was arrested for drunken driving after an employee reported an intoxicated driver in the drive-thru at Taco Bell, 7141 S. 76th St., at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 8. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable at the time of the report.

17A 23-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the parking lot at Andy's, 5040 W. Rawson Ave., at 3:45 a.m. Feb. 9. His blood-alcohol content was 0.18.

18A 48-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drugged driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after she drove her car into a ditch while traveling north on Lovers Lane Road just south of Rawson Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 9. Police located an empty prescription bottle of seizure medication in her possession and she was taken to the hospital for a blood test, the results of which were unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

19A 52-year-old Franklin man received several citations after he fell asleep while driving his truck at a high rate of speed and left the roadway, struck a tree, went through a ditch line and finally came to a stop after striking a house in the 8100 block of South River Lane at 9:45 pm. Feb. 2. The accident report stated the driver appeared somewhat impaired at the time of the accident but no sobriety testing was administered. He was cited for inattentive driving, failure to have control of a vehicle and not having insurance.

VANDALISM

20A 20-year-old Franklin man was cited for disorderly conduct and vandalism after he punched holes in a wall and pushed a woman at a home in the 6000 block of West Hillside Court at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4. The man, who has a history of drug use, left the residence before officers arrived and he was cited by mail.

21Someone broke the manhole access markers at the Interceptor Sewer Project in the 10100 block of South 92nd Street prior to 2:15 p.m. Feb. 5.

OTHER

22A pharmacy technician called police after a man presented a fraudulent prescription for Vicodin at Walgreens, 9527 S. 27th St., at 7 p.m. Feb. 8. The man did not return to pick up the prescription.

Franklin police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with three rescue calls between Feb. 4 and Feb. 10.
