BURGLARY

Someone entered the basement of a residence in the 7500 block of South 72nd Street between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and 12:20 p.m. Dec. 4. A plastic window well cover and window screen were removed to gain access to a glass basement window, which was found broken and lying on the basement floor. It appeared there was nothing missing.

THEFT

A 7-foot, 6-inch red snow plow blade was stolen from a rear lot of Casa Di Giorgio, 3137 W. Rawson Ave., between Nov. 23 and Nov. 26.

A GPS unit, valued at $100, and a new pair of jeans, valued at $15, were stolen from unlocked vehicles in the 9500 block of South Ryan Green Court between 7 p.m. Nov. 26 and 5:30 p.m. Nov. 29.

A five-drawer filing cabinet and miscellaneous tools, valued at $80, were stolen from a yard in the 3200 block of West Briarwood Drive between 11 p.m. Nov. 28 and noon Nov. 29.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting $60 worth of groceries at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., shortly before 2 p.m. Nov. 29.

Seven pieces of aluminum siding were stolen off the side of a residential garage in the 10600 block of West Cortez Road between midnight and 2 a.m. Nov. 30.

A black Dremel tool bag containing insulin, a blood testing device, 90 Oxycodone pills and 30 Cymbalta capsules was stolen at Advanced Pain Management, 7400 W. Rawson Ave., between 2:15 and 4:15 p.m. Dec. 1. The victim told police he left his bag on the couch in the waiting room when he went in for his appointment, and when he returned the bag was gone.

A 65-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for employee theft after she took an undetermined amount of cash from a register at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 1.

A 15-year-old Milwaukee boy was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 2.

A 26-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for shoplifting a game strategy book and trading cards at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., shortly before 2 p.m. Dec. 2.

An 18-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for theft after he stole about $300 from the tills at Sam's Club, 6705 S. 27th St., at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 2.

A 48-year-old woman tried to pass a counterfeit $20 bill at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 11:10 a.m. Dec. 2. When told it was counterfeit, the woman stated she received the bill from Tri-City Bank and was unaware the bill was fake. Police seized the bill and are forwarding the information to the Secret Service.

A Boss plow control, valued at $250, was stolen from a service truck in the 11300 block of West Forest Home Avenue between 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 8:45 am. Dec. 5. The driver-side window, valued at $150, was broken to gain access.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 28-year-old Muskego woman was arrested for drunken driving on Rawson Avenue and Lovers Lane Road at shortly before 1 a.m. Nov. 30. Her blood alcohol content was 0.18.

An 80-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 6900 block of West Rawson Avenue at 2 a.m. Dec. 4. His BAC was 0.15. He was also cited for deviation from a designated lane.

VANDALISM

Someone cut the power wires to the two city-owned street light poles in the 8600 block of West Rawson Avenue sometime between Nov. 16 and Nov. 30. Several property owners were questioned but denied involvement.

Someone broke open a pen and wrote all over walls at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., prior to 3:22 p.m. Dec. 2.

A 2002 Dodge minivan was scratched in the parking lot at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., prior to 5:45 p.m. Dec. 3.

OTHER

A 55-year-old Waukesha woman was arrested for obstructing an officer during a warrant arrest at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex, 6000 W. Ryan Road, at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 30.

A 17-year-old Greendale woman was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing and underage drinking after she created a disturbance by yelling obscenities and resisting arrest while being taken into custody during an underage drinking investigation in the parking lot at El Rancho Motel, 8973 S. 27th St., at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 3.

FIRE CALLS

Power lines behind a residence started a tree on fire in the 12000 block of West Woodcrest Circle at 8:50 p.m. Dec. 3. Fire Department and We Energies officials responded and contained the fire before it spread to neighboring areas.

Franklin police assisted with three rescue calls and two fire calls between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5.
