1Two 21-year-old men, both of South Milwaukee, were arrested for burglary after they entered a building owned by Waste Management in the 10300 block of West Oakwood Road with the intent to remove scrap metal about midnight Dec. 27. Police were alerted to the burglary by a nearby resident who reported there were people inside the newly purchased building at midnight, which they found suspicious.
2A fire safe containing some personal items, including a pistol with a pearl grip that was loaded with one magazine of hollow-point bullets, was stolen out of a cargo van in the visitor parking area at Stonefield Village, 3635 W. College Ave., between Nov. 27 and Dec. 14. There were no signs of forced entry. Police are investigating.
3Police are seeking a woman who shoplifted a total of $76 worth of groceries at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, during four incidents between Dec. 6 and Dec. 14. In each incident, the woman, described as a white female in her 30s with brown hair and wearing a white or pink baseball cap and a black jacket, failed to scan several items and used a cheaper produce code to weigh two bags of produce through the self-checkout lane. She used a store membership card bearing the name of a Caledonia woman, and police are following up.
4A 30-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6:45 p.m. Dec. 23.
5A resident of the 8400 block of South Deerwood Lane reported two packages containing pajamas and slippers were stolen from her residence at 1:22 p.m. Dec. 24. The victim confirmed the packages were delivered to her residence on Dec. 19 but were never received.
6A 39-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting groceries at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 8 p.m. Dec. 24.
7A tablet computer, valued at $140, was reported stolen out of a customer's vehicle at Gus' Mexican Cantina, 6514 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 28.
8A purse and a wallet containing $115, a debit card, a department store credit card and a Wisconsin driver's license was reported stolen out of a vehicle parked at Jump Zone, 6544 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 1:40 p.m. Dec. 28. The purse was later found lying on the north side of the building at the Pick 'n Save in Hales Corners.
9About $10 in coins were stolen out of a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Rawson Avenue between 5 p.m. Dec. 28 and noon Dec. 29.
10A black, military-style backpack containing several firefighter books was stolen out of an unlocked truck parked at Showtime Cinema, 8910 S. 102nd St., at 8 p.m. Dec. 29. The backpack was later found lying in the roadway in the 3300 block of West Highland Boulevard by Milwaukee police and was returned to its owner.
11A 22-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 7100 block of South 76th Street about 2:55 a.m. Dec. 27.
12A 32-year-old Illinois woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, at AT&T Advanced Technologies, 6503 S. 27th St., at 11:45 a.m. Dec. 27. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.14.
13A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 8800 block of West Rawson Avenue about 1:40 a.m. Dec. 28. His BAC was 0.19.
14A 33-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving in the 9600 block of West Ryan Road about 2 a.m. Dec. 30. Her BAC was 0.19.
15The driver-side rear window on a vehicle parked at Jump Zone, 6544 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28 was smashed. A damage estimate was unavailable.
16The rear passenger-side window was smashed on a 2009 Chevy Cobalt and the rear driver-side window was smashed out on a 2002 Toyota Camry at Showtime Cinema, 8910 S. 102nd St., at 8:40 p.m. Dec. 29. Police contacted the victims and they stated that nothing was stolen from their vehicles.
17The Franklin Fire Department and police responded to a report of a fire in a pole barn in the 8900 block of South 51st Street at 2:45 p.m. Dec. 28. Police closed down 51st Street after receiving a report that additional engines were arriving at the scene. The fire appeared to come from a corner near a small heater, and there were no immediate signs of arson. A damage estimate was unavailable at the time of the report.
18A 25-year-old Oak Creek woman was cited for driving with a suspended license and taken into custody on a South Milwaukee Police Department warrant for driving with a suspended license and no insurance after she swerved to miss another vehicle in the 8800 block of South 116th Street and hit a fence and several trees about 2 a.m. Dec. 25.
19A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 5100 block of West Rawson Avenue about 3 p.m. Dec. 26.
20A 29-year-old woman was cited for driving with a suspended license, 10th offense, and failure to maintain control of a vehicle after she looked down at her cellphone and slid into a ditch in the 7500 block of West Puetz Road about 11 p.m. Dec. 29.
· Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with one rescue call and one fire call between Dec. 23 and Dec. 29.
