Police Report: April 1

1Two adult golf clubs and a set of children's golf clubs were stolen from a storage locker at an apartment building in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle between 4 p.m. March 18 and 4:55 p.m. March 25. The clubs are valued at $200.


2A vacuum cleaner was stolen from a resident's room at Harmony of Brenwood, 9535 W. Loomis Road, between March 20 and March 24. Police are following up with the director, who was interviewing staff members at the time of the report.

3An employee at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, reported on March 24 that 12 cans of baby formula were stolen March 21 and March 22. Police were able to view video surveillance of the thefts.

· Five Franklin residents reported their Social Security numbers were used to file fraudulent tax returns between March 24 and March 30.

4A purse was stolen out of a shopping cart at Walgreens, 9909 W. Loomis Road, about 8:50 a.m. March 26. The purse contained a driver's license, credit cards, a checkbook and about $80.

5A 24-year-old woman was arrested for stealing copper wiring at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, about 2:05 p.m. March 26. The theft occurred about 1:30 p.m., and the woman was taken into custody after she was caught attempting to shoplift copper at the Oak Creek Menards store.

6A dash and window assembly for a 1977 Trans Am was stolen at Carma Laboratories, 5801 W. Airways Ave., between 11 p.m. March 28 and 3 p.m. March 29.


7A 50-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6:45 p.m. March 25.

8A 26-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and having open intoxicants in a vehicle in the 2400 block of West Ryan Avenue about 10 p.m. March 29.


9A 66-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 9300 block of West Oakwood Road about 2:45 a.m. March 24. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

10A 32-year-old Illinois man was arrested for drunken driving at Staybridge Suites, 9575 S. 27th St., at 10:45 p.m. March 24. His blood-alcohol content was 0.24.

11A 39-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving at McDonald's, 7501 W. Rawson Ave., about 7 p.m. March 26. His BAC was 0.14.

12A 23-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for drunken driving and driving with a revoked license, and cited for not having insurance and having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle at Bowery Bar & Grill, 3023 W. Ryan Road, about 1:50 a.m. March 29. He refused a breath test and was taken into custody.

13A 36-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle in the 10900 block of South 27th Street about 2:30 a.m. March 29. Her BAC was 0.24.

14A 22-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving left of the center line in the 7000 block of South 51st Street about 2:40 a.m. March 29. His BAC was 0.08.


15A driver threw something out of his window that struck another vehicle and shattered its window at 76th Street and Puetz Road about 5:45 p.m. March 26.

16Three 17-year-old Oak Creek boys were arrested for vandalism after they broke about six windows at a residence in the 9300 block of West Loomis Road about 1:15 a.m. March 30. An 18-year-old Oak Creek man also was taken into custody for an absolute sobriety violation (0.02 BAC) and possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle.


17A 54-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting an officer after she caused a disturbance outside her residence in the 8100 block of South Forest Meadows Drive about 10 p.m. March 26.

18A 17-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct after a resident reported seeing him walking through their yard and around their residence in the 4500 block of Monroe Avenue with a black BB handgun, and then throw the gun under a pine tree about 7 p.m. March 30.

· Franklin police responded to three domestic violence calls and assisted with one rescue call between March 24 and March 30.
