Franklin will see two contested aldermanic races April 2.
Four candidates, Mark Dandrea, Clarke Johnson, Greg Kowalski and Bob Knackert, submitted their paperwork to run for Alderman Steve Olson's District 1 seat. Olson is not seeking re-election.
Curt Bolton and Daniel Mayer are running for the District 2 seat. Incumbent Tim Solomon is not seeking re-election.
District 5 will see incumbent Doug Schmidt run unopposed to retain his seat.
