BURGLARY

• About $115 was taken from a residence in the 7500 block of South 72nd Street prior to 2 p.m. Jan. 16. Footprints were observed leading to the back door.

• About $50 was taken from a trailer in the 6400 block of South 27th Street between 4 and 11 p.m. Jan. 16. There were no signs of forced entry.

THEFT

• A package containing beauty products valued at $130 was taken from a residence in the 6900 block of South Riverwood Boulevard between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 12.

• A 31-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for retail theft after attempting to take a bottle of lotion from Lectric Beach Tanning, 7229 S. 76th St., about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 13.

• Five bales of hay and some bags of grain were taken from a stable in the 11000 block of South 76th Street prior to 5:25 p.m. Jan. 14. A horse also was removed from its stall and ridden on the property.

• A designer bag containing assorted jewels valued at $80,000 was taken from a woman in the 9300 block of South 35th Street about 5:15 p.m. Jan. 15. A man and woman in their early 30s, who were possibly Hispanic, allegedly approached the woman asking for directions and took her bag. The victim believes the suspects followed her vehicle from a jewelry distributor in Chicago.

• A cell phone was taken from a residence in the 7700 block of South Scepter Drive prior to 11:43 a.m. Jan. 17. An acquaintance is suspected.

DRUG POSSESSION

• A 45-year-old West Allis man was arrested for marijuana possession and for his second drunken-driving offense at Drexel Avenue and 108th Street about 6:15 p.m. Jan. 13. He was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin for a blood draw. He also was cited for resisting/fleeing an officer and unsafe lane deviation.

• A 27-year-old Cudahy man was arrested for marijuana possession in the 5100 block of West Ryan Road about 2:15 a.m. Jan. 16.

• A 28-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct in the 6800 block of West Kathleen Court about 3:35 a.m. Jan. 16.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 33-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving after she sideswiped a vehicle in the 7900 block of West High Street about 8:20 p.m. Jan. 13. Her blood-alcohol content was 0.11. She also was cited for driving left of center.

• A 55-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for her second drunken-driving offense at 51st Street and Ryan Road about 6:10 p.m. Jan. 15. Her BAC was 0.22.

• A 62-year-old Kenosha man was arrested for his third drunken-driving offense at 76th Street and Oakwood Road about 8:45 p.m. Jan. 16. His BAC was 0.19. He also was cited for operating after suspension.

• A 48-year-old Racine man was arrested for his second drunken-driving offense in the 11600 block of West Shields Drive about 5:25 p.m. Jan. 17. He was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin for a blood draw. He also was cited for failure to maintain control of his vehicle and operating left of center.

ACCIDENTS

• A 36-year-old Franklin man was taken to Froedtert Hospital to be treated for injuries after he was involved in a car accident at Loomis Road and Drexel Avenue about 6 a.m. Jan. 12. He was cited for following too closely.

OTHER

• A 31-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of stolen property after he was found to have a stolen license plate on his vehicle in the 7700 block of South Scepter Drive about 11:15 a.m. Jan. 12.
