ROBBERY

• Jimmy John's, 6533 S. 27th St., was robbed about 5 p.m. Jan. 5. A suspect described as a white male with blue eyes, about 6 feet tall with a medium build, displayed a large black semi-automatic weapon to employees and demanded that they empty the cash registers into a plastic bag. He was wearing a black knit ski mask and an oversized black or brown jacket with fur around the hood. He fled on foot with about $288.

THEFT

• Six brass water valves, valued together at $1,500, were taken from Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., between 8 a.m. Jan. 4 and noon Jan. 7.

• A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for theft after she took and cashed a check from her place of employment, ConWay Central Express, 10601 S. 27th St., about 1:50 p.m. Jan. 4.

• A 16-year-old girl and 39-year-old woman, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for retail theft after taking $265 worth of merchandise from The Home Depot, 6489 S. 27th St., about 4:55 p.m. Jan. 4. The girl also was cited for obstructing police because she gave a false name.

• A wedding ring valued at $8,500 was taken from a residence in the 4400 block of West Sherwood Drive prior to 7:05 p.m. Jan. 4. An acquaintance is suspected.

• A skid steer snow bucket valued at $1,800 was taken from Jerry's Midtown, 11123 W. Forest Home Ave., prior to 9:40 a.m. Jan. 5.

• An 18-year-old Franklin man was arrested for felony theft and a 17-year-old Franklin girl was arrested for receiving stolen property after they took jewelry valued at $4,500 from the 6300 block of South 27th Street and sold it at a pawn shop prior to 10 a.m. Jan. 5. The girl also was cited for drug paraphernalia possession. The jewelry was recovered.

• Harley-Davidson jewelry and 30 watches, valued together at $30,000, were taken from a vehicle in the 8900 block of South 79th Street between 10 p.m. Jan. 5 and 6:45 a.m. Jan. 6.

• A 55-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for retail theft after taking electrical fuses valued at $54 from Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., about 12:30 p.m. Jan. 7.

• A digital media player was taken from a vehicle at Whitnall Park Golf Course, 6701 S. Park Road, about 3 p.m. Jan. 8.

• Two Greendale boys, ages 14 and 15, were arrested for theft at the Franklin Police Department, 9455 W. Loomis Road, about 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8. It was discovered that they had taken a snowboard from Crystal Ridge, 7900 W. Crystal Ridge Drive, on Dec. 30.

• Jewelry valued at $800 was taken from a residence in the 8600 block of South Deerwood Lane prior to 8:15 p.m. Jan. 9.

ASSAULT

• A 47-year-old Franklin man was arrested for battery, disorderly conduct, resisting an officer and expelling bodily fluids toward an officer after a disturbance in the 6400 block of South 27th Street about 5:20 p.m. Jan. 5.

• A 14-year-old boy was arrested for second-degree sexual assault of a child in the 7500 block of South 74th Street about noon Jan. 7.

• A 42-year-old Franklin man was arrested for physical abuse of a child in the 7000 block of South 122nd Street about 12:40 a.m. Jan. 10.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 43-year-old Franklin man was arrested for his third drunken-driving offense in the 9500 block of South 27th Street about 1:45 a.m. Jan. 6. His blood-alcohol content was 0.19.

• A 50-year-old Illinois man was arrested for his second drunken-driving offense at 27th Street and Ryan Road about 8:20 p.m. Jan. 10. His BAC was 0.17. He also was cited for possessing an illegally obtained prescription and speeding.

ACCIDENTS

• A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken to Froedtert Hospital to be treated for injuries after she collided with another vehicle in the 5100 block of West Ryan Road about 5:55 a.m. Jan. 7. She was cited for failure to yield right of way.

OTHER

• A 20-year-old woman was arrested for receiving stolen property after she was found to have a stolen license plate on her vehicle in the 9100 block of South 68th Street about 8:35 p.m. Jan. 4. She also was cited for operating after revocation, operating an unregistered vehicle and failing to fasten her seatbelt.

• A 17-year-old Franklin girl was arrested for disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering safety after she threw a knife at a man in the 6400 block of South 27th Street about 6:45 p.m. Jan. 6.

• Two 16-year-old Greendale boys were arrested for violating curfew at 27th Street and Rawson Avenue about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 9.
