Police Report: Dec. 21

BURGLARY

• Two check books and a check card were taken from a residence in the 4100 block of West Pebble Beach Court prior to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 14. There were no signs of forced entry.

• Verizon Wireless, 7700 S. Lovers Lane Road, was burglarized about 4:05 a.m. Dec. 18. A window was smashed, causing an alarm to go off. Nothing was taken.

THEFT

• A Global Positioning System, laptop, digital music player and cell phone were taken from a vehicle in the 7800 block of South Scepter Drive between 6 p.m. Dec. 14 and noon Dec. 15. Entry was not forced.

• A 16-foot extension ladder valued at $110 was taken from a yard in the 6600 block of South 120th Court prior to 9:54 a.m. Dec. 15.

• A wallet was taken from an employee at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, 10101 S. 27th St., between 6 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 15.

• A beer sign valued at $200 was taken from Landmark, 11401 W. Swiss St., prior to 1:15 a.m. Dec. 19. Two white men took the sign. One suspect is described as being 5 feet 8 inches and 210 pounds and about 45 years old. The other suspect is about 40 to 45 years old, 6 feet 2 inches and 240 pounds, with a mustache and dark hair.

• Two Milwaukee men, ages 29 and 55, were arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance while attempting to take a flat-screen TV from Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 4:25 p.m. Dec. 19.

ASSAULT

• A 40-year-old Franklin man was arrested for battery, resisting arrest and discharging bodily fluids at a police officer after causing a disturbance in the 6800 block of West Kathleen Court about 11:05 p.m. Dec. 15.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 44-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving at Loomis Road and 76th Street about 4:40 p.m. Dec. 16. She was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin for a blood draw and to be treated for injuries.

VANDALISM

• A vehicle's front passenger window was smashed at Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., between 1:10 and 2:20 p.m. Dec. 14.

• A mailbox was damaged in the 10400 block of South 92nd Street between 3 p.m. Dec. 18 and 9 a.m. Dec. 19.

• The passenger side of a vehicle was scratched in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle prior to 3:05 p.m. Dec. 19. An acquaintance is suspected.

ACCIDENTS

• A 32-year-old Hales Corners man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin to be treated for injuries after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle at Rawson Avenue and Countryside Drive about 5:15 p.m. Dec. 14.

OTHER

• A 29-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possessing stolen property after he was found to have a stolen license plate on his vehicle in the 7700 block of South 27th Street about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 17. He also was cited for operating after revocation.

• A 37-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for obstructing officers after she admitted to staging a burglary at her home in the 5200 block of West Behrendt Drive about 2:15 p.m. Dec. 18.
