Police Report: Oct. 20

BURGLARY

• A vacant building at 6421 S. 27th St. was burglarized prior to 9:40 a.m. Oct. 13. A window pane was broken and a door left open, and two ovens were missing. An unidentified suspect had been seen coming and going from the business during the past few weeks. The broken window and door were boarded up, but were later found unboarded about 9:50 p.m. Oct. 13.

• A residence in the 7000 block of South Carmel Drive was burglarized about 7:45 p.m. Oct. 17. One suspect fled the residence eastbound in a vehicle, and another fled northbound on foot. A window was smashed. A vehicle was taken from the residence but was recovered a few blocks away.

THEFT

• A vehicle was taken from Ewald, 6319 S. 108th St., about 8:30 a.m. Oct. 11. Three black males were seen on surveillance video at the business. One is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds. Another is described as 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds. Both were wearing blue jeans and blue sweatshirts at the time of the theft. The third suspect remained in a maroon vehicle during the theft.

• A purse containing a cell phone, a camera and a debit card was taken from Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 4:20 p.m. Oct. 12.

• A 46-year-old Franklin man was arrested for retail theft at Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., about 11 a.m. Oct. 13.

• A carpet cleaner valued at $300 was taken from an apartment in the 7700 block of South Scepter Drive between 10:30 p.m. Oct. 14 and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15.

• A live critter trap was taken from a yard in the 12200 block of West Bel Mar Drive prior to 7:28 a.m. Oct. 15.

• A CD player valued at $100 was taken from a vehicle at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. Oct. 15. The vehicle also was scratched.

DRUG POSSESSION

• A 30-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for marijuana possession in the 5600 block of West Rawson Avenue about 10:55 p.m. Oct. 17.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

• A 39-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving at Rawson Avenue and Countryside Drive about 5:35 a.m. Oct. 18. He refused to take a breath test.

ACCIDENTS

• A 47-year-old Franklin man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-Franklin to be treated for injuries after he was involved in a vehicle collision at St. Martins and Loomis roads about 6:20 p.m. Oct. 14. A 19-year-old Whitewater man was cited for failure to yield right of way.

• A 29-year-old Racine man was taken to Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries after he was involved in a vehicle collision at Loomis and St. Martins roads about 4:45 p.m. Oct. 16.

VANDALISM

• A vehicle's rear window was smashed in the 11400 block of West Rhoder Avenue between 9 p.m. Oct. 10 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 12. Damage is estimated at $200.

OTHER

• A 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both of Franklin, were arrested for disorderly conduct after a fight at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., about 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15.

• A 21-year-old Franklin man was arrested for first-degree recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment and supplying alcohol to a minor in the 7900 block of South 66th Street about 5:30 a.m. Oct. 18. He allegedly held a Greenfield man at knifepoint while forcing him to drive his vehicle around Franklin for three hours.
