Franklin Police Report: Aug. 7, 2014 issue

Aug. 5, 2014

Theft

· A $250 trailer hitch was stolen off a truck parked in the 7800 block of West Winston Way sometime between 10 p.m. July 27 and 5 a.m. July 28.

· A 30-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for shoplifting health and beauty products at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 3 p.m. July 28.

· A cosmetic bag was stolen out of a locked vehicle parked in the lot at Planet Fitness, 6529 S. 27th St., sometime between 5:40 and 6 p.m. July 28. The unidentified suspect(s) smashed out the rear drivers' side window to gain entry.

· A 27-year-old woman and a 23-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting $100 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 6:30 p.m. July 28.

· A "Rock N Ride" (brown horse), valued at $500, was stolen from the playground at Legend Park, 8050 Legend Drive, sometime between the late evening hours of July 28 and 9 a.m. July 29.

· A 17-foot enclosed, single-axle trailer containing a 2014 KTM 350cc motorcycle was stolen from the parking lot at Culvers, 4220 W. Oakwood Park, sometime between 3:30 p.m. July 29 and 11:15 a.m. July 30.

· A 42-year-old Muskego man was arrested for shoplifting after he ripped open the packaging on a knife and concealed the knife in his pocket at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 1:50 p.m. July 30.

· A 27-year-old Oak Creek man was arrested for shoplifting household goods at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 10:20 p.m. July 31.

· A 27-year-old Wind Lake man shoplifted 250 feet of copper wire, valued at $117, at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, and then fled in a black sedan that was last seen traveling northbound on West Forest Home Avenue at about 11:45 a.m. Aug. 1. T

· A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting $34 worth of clothing at Salvation Army, 6341 S. 27th St., at about 2:45 p.m. Aug. 1.

· A 30-year-old South Carolina man was arrested for shoplifting a $35 pair of boots at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 1.

· A 50-year-old Hales Corners woman was arrested for shoplifting a cart full of groceries, valued at $175, at Pick N Save, 7201 S. 76th St., at about 10:15 a.m. Aug. 3.

· A gold diamond ring, valued at $5,600, and several Xbox 360 and Wii games were stolen from a residence in the 9500 block of South Fairway Circle sometime within the past two or three weeks at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 3. The victim gave police the name of a possible suspect.

Drug possession

· A 33-year-old West Allis woman was arrested for possession of marijuana after she was taken into custody for shoplifting $70 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2.

· A 42-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and for having a valid warrant for retail theft through the Oak Creek Police Department at the Plaza Motel, 8151 S. 27th St., at about 6:50 a.m. Aug. 3.

· An 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both of Franklin, and an 18-year-old Oak Creek man were arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on South Sherwood Drive and West Hilltop Lane at about 1:20 a.m. Aug. 4. The Franklin men were also cited for underage drinking.

Vandalism

A resident in the 6400 block of South 27th Street reported a male resident in the trailer park used a paint brush to paint her black 2002 Chevy Malibu white at 2:40 p.m. July 31.

Other

Franklin police assisted the fire department with three rescue calls between July 28 and Aug. 4.
