Franklin Police Report: July 10, 2014

Robbery

1 A man reported he was robbed of $280 cash by two males in a gray Buick in the 6300 block of South 35th Street at about 1:30 p.m. July 2. The victim, a 19-year-old Franklin man, was later arrested for having three warrants out for him in multiple jurisdictions for shoplifting, smoking in an educational facility and vandalism. Police have the name of one possible suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

Burglary

2 A resident in the 3300 block of West Forest Hill Avenue reported that someone stole two .45-caliber pistols and a .357 Smith & Wesson out of the locked trunk of a vehicle and keys to an ATV out of his garage sometime between June 30 and July 4. According to the police report, it was possible keys were used to open the trunk and then a screwdriver was used to damage the trunk lock. Police also found a marijuana pipe in the garage while processing the scene; the investigation is ongoing.

Theft

3 Someone stole a 2005 dark gray Land Rover parked in the 4500 block of West Rawson Avenue sometime between 8 p.m. June 29 and 7:30 a.m. June 30. Two bicycles, a gray and light green women's Columbia North Way bicycle and a dark green and gray Men's Columbia North Way bicycle, were found in the tree line adjacent to the driveway where the car was stolen. Police later discovered the bicycles had been stolen from a garage in the 7300 block of South Countryside Drive.

4 A 37-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested for shoplifting after she stole a $3,500 60-inch TV set at Sam's Club, 6705 S. 27th St.. The theft took place at about 8:30 a.m., and the suspect was taken into custody at about 10:45 a.m.

5 Someone stole an undisclosed amount of change from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 3900 block of West Madison Boulevard between the late evening hours of June 29 and noon June 30.

6 A resident in the 4700 block of West Marquette Avenue reported someone used her Master Card debit card to make a fraudulent $65 purchase a BP gas station on West Silver Spring Drive at about 6:40 a.m. June 30. The victim stated her card was fraudulently used five additional times for withdrawals and gas for a total loss of $540; police are following up.

7 A credit card, $12 cash and a bank debit card were stolen out of a wallet left inside an unlocked vehicle in the 7300 block of South Hillendale Drive sometime between 8:30 p.m. June 29 and 5:20 a.m. June 30. The victim canceled the credit cards, and no fraudulent transactions were made.

8 A 42-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting (seventh offense) after she was caught stealing liquor at Pick 'n Save, 7201 S. 76th St., at about 2:30 p.m. July 1.

9 A man shoplifted a pair of Nike Revolution 2 shoes by concealing them inside a Nike sack pack at Dunham's Sports, 6525 S. 27th St., at about 4:30 p.m. July 1. The suspect is described as a 20- to 25-year-old black male wearing a black T-shirt and black jeans, and was accompanied by a black male in his upper 30s wearing brown shorts and a brown shirt.

10 A 15-year-old girl and a 55-year-old woman were arrested for shoplifting $49 worth of clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 5:10 p.m. July 2.

11 A 54-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting clothing and drill bits at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 5:15 p.m. July 2.

12 A 60-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting five DVDs at Goodwill Industries, 6941 S. Riverwood Blvd., at about 6:30 p.m. July 2.

13 A man reported his wife's cell phone was stolen at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital, 10101 S. 27th St., at 10 a.m. July 3.

14 A 47-year-old woman and a 26-year-old woman, both of Milwaukee, were arrested for shoplifting $80 worth of clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at about 1:30 p.m. July 5.

15 A 43-year-old West Bend man was arrested for shoplifting and was taken into custody for having a warrant for disorderly conduct through the West Bend Police Department after he was pulled over in the 6500 block of South 27th Street at about 6:45 p.m. July 6. The suspect was pulled over after he stole a T-Mobile cell phone and a pair of shoes at the Franklin Walmart. The driver of the vehicle was also cited for possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle.

16 A 34-year-old Mexican man was arrested for theft after he was unable to pay for $80 worth of lap dances in he received at On The Border, 10741 S. 27th St., at about 2 a.m. July 7.

Drug possession

17 A 29-year-old Louisiana woman was arrested for drugged driving and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 6000 block of West Ryan Road at about 10:45 a.m. July 2. She was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

18 A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and was taken into custody for having a valid warrant for underage possession of alcohol through the Bloomfield Township Police Department during a traffic stop on West Loomis and West Ryan roads at about 1:15 a.m. July 4. A male passenger in his car was also arrested for possessing open intoxicants in a vehicle.

19 A 47-year-old Burlington man was arrested for possession of marijuana on West Rawson and West Forest Home avenues at about 2:30 a.m. July 5.

Drunken driving

20 A 62-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for second-offense drunken driving, discharging bodily fluids at a police officer, resisting arrest and driving with a revoked license on South 27th Street and West Minnesota Avenue at about 11:25 p.m. June 30. He refused chemical breath testing and was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

21 A 62-year-old Muskego man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) and driving with a revoked license in the 10800 block of West Kay Parkway at about 7:55 p.m. July 3. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

22 A 32-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving in the 5200 block of West Ryan Road at about 1:35 a.m. July 4. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.18.

23 A 34-year-old West Allis man was arrested for drunken driving (fourth offense), possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license in the 7900 block of south Lovers Lane Road at about 2:30 a.m. July 6. A passenger in his car, a 31-year-old New Berlin woman, was also arrested for possession of a Schedule II narcotic. The suspect was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

Vandalism

24 A Franklin Department of Public Works employee reported that someone wrote obscenities on the road just north of South Riverview Road and West Southview Drive with red paint on 10:45 a.m. July 2.

25 Someone threw a brick through the driver's side window of a vehicle parked in the 6300 block of South 35th Street at about 1:45 a.m. July 3. Nothing was reported missing from inside the vehicle.

Other

26 A resident reported someone took down her American flag at her home in the 7700 block of West Maple Ridge Court sometime between 9:30 p.m. June 29 and 10 a.m. June 30. This is the fourth time this has happened since her husband had an article published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and a special watch was requested in the area.

27 A 36-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct in the beer tent at the Fourth of July Celebration at Franklin City Hall, 9229 W. Loomis Road, at about 11:25 p.m. July 4. The woman became angry after she was advised not to park her baby stroller, with her infant inside, right next to the band's speakers, and she was arrested after she charged at a police officer.

28 Three boys, ages 16, 17 and 18, were arrested for underage drinking at George Webb Restaurant, 7105 S. 76th St., at about 3 a.m. July 5.
