Police Report: March 18

THEFT

1A man stole two hammer drills at Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., exiting the store through the lumber area and driving off in a black Ford Explorer that was waiting for him at 5:50 p.m. Feb. 28.

2The rear license plate was stolen off a 2008 Chevy Impala in the 7700 block of West Margaret Lane between 4 p.m. March 7 and 3 p.m. March 8.

3A package containing a Gibson SC electric guitar, valued at $800, was stolen from a property in the 6400 block of South 35th Street between 9:45 a.m. March 8 and 5 p.m. March 12. The victim's neighbor, who signed for the package when it was delivered by Fed/Ex at 9:45 a.m., said he placed it outside the victim's door and had no knowledge of what happened to the package afterward. Police are investigating.

4A 25-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting $40 worth of bedding at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:15 p.m. March 11.

5A man stole several bottles of alcohol at Walgreens, 9527 S. 27th St., at 4:15 p.m. March 11.

6A 59-year-old man was arrested for stealing an electronic voice box device at Salvation Army, 6341 S. 27th St., at 1:30 p.m. March 13.

7A blue aluminum mailbox and a steel pole were stolen from a residence in the 11700 block of West Woods Road between 2 p.m. March 14 and 3:30 p.m. March 15.

8Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 8200 block of South 77th Street. The theft was reported at 7:15 p.m. March 15. The resident gave police the name of a possible suspect, and police are following up.

DRUG POSSESSION

9A 30-year-old Black River Falls man was arrested for possession of oxycodone and clonazepam without a valid prescription after he was detained for shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6 p.m. March 11.

10A 19-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 7800 block of South 27th Street at 1:25 a.m. March 15.

ACCIDENTS

11One person was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital with a broken arm after a two-vehicle accident at Lovers Lane Road and Phyllis Lane at 1:30 p.m. March 15.

VANDALISM

12A milkshake-like substance was poured on the windshield and roof of vehicle and the driver-side door, quarter panel and trunk were scratched while it was parked in the 8100 block of South Legend Drive between 4 p.m. March 15 and 2 p.m. March 16. A damage estimate was unavailable at the time of the report.

FIRE CALLS

13The Franklin Fire Department and police responded to a small basement fire at a residence in the 12300 block of West Oakwood Road about 1 a.m. March 15. The fire was caused by a malfunctioning fan in the basement and was extinguished by the Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

OTHER

14A 53-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was taken into custody for a parole violation at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., at 3:50 a.m. March 11.

15A 40-year-old Burlington woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at the Park Motel, 7273 S. 27th St., at 12:30 a.m. March 13.

16A 19-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for carrying a concealed knife at 7-Eleven, 7610 W. Rawson Ave., at 1:30 a.m. March 15.

17Officers responding to a report of a person who possibly ingested cocaine at the Plaza Motel, 8151 S. 27th St., arrested a 51-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of drug paraphernalia and took him into custody on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for escape from criminal arrest at 3:10 a.m. March 15.

· Franklin police assisted with three rescue calls and one fire call between March 11 and March 16.
