1Several garden hoses, a toolbox containing about $1,000 worth of tools, a step ladder, a radio, a bottle of brandy, a carton of cigarettes and other items were stolen from a residence in the 9400 block of South 96th Street between 1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and 2 p.m. Feb. 6. There were no signs of forced entry at the home. The investigation is ongoing.
2A 2005 black Chevy Suburban with a plow attachment was stolen from the lot at Starfire Systems, 9825 S. 54th St., between 5 p.m. Jan. 31 and 4 p.m. Feb. 1. The vehicle was recovered by the Madison Police Department on Feb. 6, and had to be towed back to Franklin due to damage.
3A 35-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting after she was seen switching price tags on two Barbie dolls, and paid $14 for $100 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:50 p.m. Feb. 3. She also was arrested on a Greenfield Police Department warrant.
4A manager at Lowe's, 7027 S. 27th St., reported a license plate was stolen off one of their rental trucks at 6:15 a.m. Feb. 4.
5A 34-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting and was taken into custody on a probation violation after he was seen using a blade to open a package in the sporting goods department at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 4.
6A resident of the 7600 block of South 51st Street called police at 8:05 p.m. Feb. 4 to report his 2004 Honda Accord was stolen by a friend after he lent it to her. Based on the resident's consent and past use of the vehicle by the female, police told the resident it was not yet a theft.
7An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting, obstructing an officer and underage possession of alcohol after she attempted to steal $142 worth of alcohol at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 5. She also was arrested for bail jumping and on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for theft and Greenfield Police Department warrants for a parks violation, truancy and underage possession of alcohol.
8The front license plate was stolen off a vehicle in the 3900 block of West College Avenue between the late evening hours of Feb. 7 and the morning hours of Feb. 8.
9An employee at Sam's Club, 6705 S. 27th St., called police after a male stole five bottles of vodka by concealing them inside his jacket, and then returned several minutes later with another male who concealed a bottle of whiskey under his coat about 12:50 p.m. Feb. 9. The men are described as two black males between the ages of 60 and 70, one wearing a Carhartt jacket and the other wearing a light-colored parka.
10A 16-year-old boy was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing two folding knives at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 9. He was cited for carrying a concealed weapon (knife) and possession of tobacco by a minor.
11A 50-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a 51-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the Plaza Motel, 8151 S. 27th St., at 6:45 a.m. Feb. 3. The 51-year-old also was arrested on a Racine County Sheriff's Department warrant.
12Officers checking out a suspicious occupied vehicle at Badger Mobile Homes, 6405 S. 27th St., arrested a 16-year-old girl for resisting arrest and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and a 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman for loitering and prowling at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 6.
13A 24-year-old Wind Lake man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and a 22-year-old Wind Lake man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 8700 block of West Loomis Road about 8:20 a.m. Feb. 8.
14A 17-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a marijuana pipe under the passenger seat of his car after he was pulled over for a traffic violation at 27th Street and Ryan Road at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 8. He also was cited for driving too fast for conditions and violating driver's license restrictions.
15A 35-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, and cited for inattentive driving after a two-car accident in the 2800 block of West Rawson Avenue about 4 p.m. Feb. 7. His blood-alcohol content was 0.21.
16A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, in the 3000 block of West Ryan Road at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 8. Her BAC was 0.16.
17A security employee at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, called police after a male customer stopped for stealing a $2.44 drill bit got upset and threatened the business about 10:30 a.m. Feb. 4. The male got upset when he was told the store would pursue civil restitution and stated he was going to tell 50 people to steal merchandise from Menards. He was issued a no-trespassing order and is no longer allowed to enter the business.
18A resident of the 7300 block of South 68th Street called police to report Jehovah's Witnesses were soliciting without a permit in their area at 11:05 a.m. Feb. 5. Police checked with City Hall and discovered Jehovah's Witnesses do not need to register as solicitors with the city because they are not selling anything or asking for money.
19A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested in the 6900 block of South 27th Street on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for a sex offender registry violation at 6:25 a.m. Feb. 7.
20A 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both of Illinois, were arrested for passing a counterfeit $100 bill at Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 8. The two then admitted to passing counterfeit bills at Target prior to the incident at Pick 'n Save.
· Franklin police assisted with one rescue call and one fire call between Feb. 3 and Feb. 10.
