Police Report: Jan. 7

THEFT

1A 33-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting an undisclosed amount of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., and on a South Milwaukee Police Department warrant at 10:10 p.m. Dec. 30.

2A man wearing a camouflage jacket and driving a dark-colored Toyota Tacoma pickup truck left without paying for $72 worth of premium gas at Kwik Trip, 10750 W. Speedway Drive, about 12:15 p.m. Dec. 31. The license plate on the vehicle had been listed as stolen by the South Milwaukee Police Department.

3A 25-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting $10 worth of toiletries at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 4.

ASSAULT

4Police are investigating a possible sexual assault after a 26-year-old woman reported waking up naked in a room at the Plaza Motel, 8151 S. 27th St., and not remembering when or how she arrived there or who else had been there about 10 a.m. Jan. 1. She complained of pain in her groin area and was taken to the Sexual Assault Treatment Center at Mt. Sinai Hospital for an exam.

5A man reported he was punched in the face by a 22-year-old man while he was at a New Year's party at a home in the 6500 block of South Whitnall Edge Road about 4 a.m. Jan. 2. He was treated at Froedtert Hospital for a laceration and a nasal bone fracture. Police were still investigating the assault at the time of the report.

DRUG POSSESSION

6An 18-year-old Muskego man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and an 18-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at a home in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle at 1:55 p.m. Dec. 30.

7A 16-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was cited for a curfew violation after the vehicle he was riding in was pulled over at Drexel Avenue and Loomis Road at 2:40 a.m. Jan. 3. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old man, was cited for driving with a suspended license.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

8A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for deviating from a designated lane in the 9500 block of South 31st Street at 1:25 a.m. Dec. 31. His blood-alcohol content was 0.17.

9A 19-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving, driving too fast for conditions and possession of alcohol by a minor in the 10700 block of West Rawson Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 1. His BAC was 0.14.

10A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for violating absolute sobriety and cited for non-registration of a vehicle after he was pulled over in the 4700 block of West Drexel Avenue about 3 a.m. Jan. 1. His BAC was 0.04.

11A 25-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, and carrying a concealed firearm while intoxicated and cited for equipping a motor vehicle with an illegal muffler in the 9500 block of West St. Martins Road about 3 a.m. Jan. 4. His BAC was 0.11.

12A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle at 51st Street and Ryan Road about 4 a.m. Jan. 4. His BAC was 0.16.

VANDALISM

13A vehicle window was smashed in the driveway in the 7300 block of South 51st Street between 2 and 9 p.m. Jan. 1.

FIRE CALLS

14Firefighters and police responded to Walgreens, 9909 W. Loomis Road, after the rear warehouse fire alarms sounded, the vestibule entrance to the store filled with smoke that smelled like burning rubber and the vestibule water sprinklers went off about 12:15 p.m. Jan. 1. The manager evacuated the store, and no injuries were reported. The report did not state what caused the alarms and/or smoke.

OTHER

15A 40-year-old man was cited for reckless driving after he cut in front of a Milwaukee County plow truck in the 9200 block of West Loomis Road to turn into the Aurora clinic, and then drove on the left side of the driveway against exiting traffic about 11:50 a.m. Dec. 30. When another driver exiting the driveway asked him what he was doing, he allegedly cussed at her and threw his cigarette at her vehicle. He was gone when police arrived and was cited by mail.

16A 25-year-old woman was arrested for obstructing an officer and on Brown Deer Police Department and Marathon County Sheriff's Department warrants and a 24-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for driving with a suspended license and suspended registration after their vehicle was pulled over at PDQ, 6300 S. 27th St., at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 31.

17A 48-year-old man was arrested for driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, disorderly conduct and a sex offender residency violation in the 7700 block of South 51st Street at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 31, after police responded to a dispute between the man and his girlfriend.

18A man was seen using the ATM in the vestibule of Pick 'n Save, 7780 S. Lovers Lane Road, and then using a small yellow tape measure to measure the ATM about 10 a.m. Dec. 31. Police were following up with the bank to see if the subject could be identified.

19A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 1.

20A 23-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at Plaza Motel, 8151 S. 27th St., at 5:45 a.m. Jan. 2.

21A 17-year-old Franklin boy was arrested for obstructing an investigation and disorderly conduct after he provided false information to police who were investigating a physical altercation in the 9000 block of West Forest Hill Avenue about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 5. The boy told police he had an argument with an 18-year-old man over Twitter, and the two agreed to meet at Legend Drive and Forest Hill Avenue to fight. The boy admitted lying to police because he didn't want to name any of the other parties involved, and police are still investigating.

· Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with one rescue and one fire call between Dec. 30 and Jan. 6.
