1Three totes containing old baseball cards and two footballs, one signed by Bart Starr and one signed by Johnny Unitas, a Craftsman tool chest, a camera and other collectibles were stolen out of a garage in the 6600 block of South Parkedge Circle between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 20. Police are investigating.
2Two unidentified males stole at least three pairs of Nike socks at Dunham's Sports, 6525 S. 27th St., at 11:50 a.m. Sept. 23. The males fled on 20-inch BMX bicycles, and police were unable to find them.
3A 29-year-old man was arrested for stealing three cases of Red Bull energy drinks at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 2 p.m. Sept. 23. Loss is estimated at $54.
4Two men, ages 21 and 20, were arrested for stealing 11 extension cords at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Loss is estimated at $274.
5A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for stealing $45 worth of clothing at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:20 p.m. Sept. 24.
6A 51-year-old woman was arrested for stealing $28 worth of jewelry at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 25.
7An unidentified man stole an $829 computer at Sam's Club, 6705 S. 27th St., about 2:45 p.m. Sept. 25. The man, described as a white man between 30 and 40 years old with a brown beard and mustache and wearing a long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a light blue baseball cap, carried the HP Envy computer out a fire exit door and fled in a dark blue minivan that was waiting for him outside the exit.
8Two 23-year-old men were arrested for stealing $16 worth of groceries at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 6 p.m. Sept. 25.
9Someone pried open an apartment mailbox and stole a bank statement and a cellphone bill in the 3600 block of West College Avenue between 11:45 p.m. Sept. 25 and 11:45 p.m. Sept. 27. The victim's bank and phone statements were stolen in the same manner about three months ago as well.
10A 53-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for stealing $47 worth of jewelry at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., about 2 p.m. Sept. 26.
11A Serta queen-sized mattress, valued at $519, was stolen out of a truck parked outside a residence in the 8500 block of South Country Club Drive between 8 and 9:15 p.m. Sept. 27. The caller had just purchased the mattress, and it was stolen while the owner ate dinner.
12A manager called police to report that a young boy, about 8 years old, was captured on video surveillance footage stealing several lighters, two e-cigarettes and a pack of Newport cigarettes at Mobil Gas Station II, 7103 S. 27th St., Sept. 27. The boy entered the store with a 36-year-old man, who was questioned by police Sept. 28. The man stated the young boy was staying at a room at the Park Motel and must have followed him to the gas station, and also stated he was unaware the child stole anything. Police were unable to find the boy and advised the man not to return to the business.
13A 74-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for stealing $16 worth of merchandise at Goodwill Industries, 6941 S. Riverwood Blvd., about 3 p.m. Sept. 29.
14A 64-year-old West Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop in the 10500 block of South 27th Street about 1 a.m. Sept. 26.
15A 20-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana, underage transportation of alcohol and obstructing an investigation during a traffic stop in the 6500 block of South 27th Street at 10:20 a.m. Sept. 28.
16A 44-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and not having insurance after his Jeep crossed traffic and struck a tree in the 12200 block of West Loomis Road about 6:55 p.m. Sept. 26. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.
17A 53-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving at the Embassy Motel, 8253 S. 27th St., at 11:20 p.m. Sept. 28. His blood-alcohol content was unavailable at the time of the report.
18A motorist struck a fire hydrant in a median in the parking lot at The Home Depot, 6489 S. 27th St., causing a water main break about 9:40 p.m. Sept. 26. The Franklin Fire Department attempted to shut off the water valve with negative results, and the area was cordoned off until the Milwaukee Water Works arrived on scene to secure the main. The driver who struck the hydrant fled the scene and was not found.
19Someone spray-painted graffiti on the new concession building at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St. "OC" was written on a trailer, a metal box, gravel, grass and a brick wall. The vandalism was discovered by the athletic director about 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20. The graffiti was removed from all areas except the brick wall, and a mason/bricklayer was going to attempt to remove the paint off the brick with a power washer Sept. 26. A damage estimate was unavailable at the time of the report.
20Someone knocked over a 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was parked in a basement parking area in the 10500 block of West Cortez Circle between 3 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. Sept. 27. The bike's rear fender, right pipes, foot peg, mirror and handlebar cover were damaged, and the windshield was also scratched and bent. A damage estimate was not available at the time of the report.
21A 30-year-old woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was taken into custody for a probation violation after she was caught shoplifting at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 4:25 p.m. Sept. 25.
22Officers responding to a report of loud music at a home in the 7100 block of West Drexel Avenue arrested a 26-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:50 a.m. Sept. 28.
23A 23-year-old man who accidentally shot himself in the calf was arrested for recklessly endangering safety and intoxicated use of a firearm at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, 10101 S. 27th St., about 2:45 a.m. Sept. 29. When the man's 47-year-old father came to bail him out, the father was arrested on a West Allis Police Department warrant for disorderly conduct. Both men posted bail and were released; formal charges against the 23-year-old are being reviewed by the district attorney.
24A 23-year-old Franklin man was cited for driving with a suspended license, 10th offense, and was taken into custody on a Milwaukee Police Department warrant for speeding in the 2900 block of West College Avenue at 3:05 p.m. Sept. 28.
· Franklin police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted with three rescue calls and one fire call between Sept. 23 and Sept. 29.
