BURGLARY
1About $20 worth of scrap metal was stolen from an unlocked trailer in the 8100 block of South 76th Street between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. March 1. A special patrol to watch for scrappers in the area was requested during the daytime hours.
THEFT
2A 25-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting baby clothes at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 26.
3A 25-year-old Waukesha man and a 29-year-old New York woman were arrested for shoplifting computer software, computer games and a handbag at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 5:05 p.m. Feb. 27. They also were cited for vandalism for damaging the security containers on the software and games.
4A package containing clothing and jewelry, which had been delivered by the post office, was taken from a porch in the 6600 block of South Harvard Drive prior to 6:15 p.m. Feb. 27.
5A $1,450 gold ring, two $450 gold wedding bands and a $450 pendant necklace were reported stolen from a room at Elizabeth Residence, 9329 S. 48th St., at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 28. The resident's family members said the jewelry went missing between last summer and Feb. 15.
6A 16-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, both of Franklin, were arrested for possession of stolen property after they were found with a stolen iPod and accessories at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 28. The 16-year-old also was taken into custody on a Franklin Police Department warrant for shoplifting.
7A 14-year-old Franklin boy was cited for theft after he stole an iPod from another student at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 11:30 a.m. March 1. A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy also were cited for possession of stolen property.
8A 44-year-old Oak Creek woman was arrested for theft for taking a checkbook from a resident of the 6300 block of South 35th Street at 9:45 p.m. March 1.
9A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle outside a home in the 3600 block of West Rawson Avenue between 10:30 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. March 2.
10A 30-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for fraud after she failed to pay for $60 worth of gas at Andy's, 5120 W. Ryan Road, at 9:30 a.m. March 3.
11A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for shoplifting a purse at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 6:15 p.m. March 3.
ASSAULT
12A 20-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for battery at the Franklin Police Department, 9455 W. Loomis Road, at 3:45 p.m. March 3. The man was arrested for physically assaulting a 17-year-old boy in the boy's home in the 8700 block of West Puetz Road about 3:15 p.m. Feb. 24.
DRUG POSSESSION
13A 17-year-old girl was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and an 18-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after a canine search of vehicles at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 26.
14A 62-year-old Franklin man was arrested for possession of marijuana and cited for driving with a revoked license in the 10200 block of West Forest Home Avenue about 10:30 p.m. March 2.
DRUNKEN DRIVING
15A 26-year-old South Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, second offense, driving with a revoked license and bail jumping at the Bowery Bar & Grill, 3023 W. Ryan Road, at 1:15 a.m. March 3. She was taken to the hospital for a blood test so her blood-alcohol content could be determined. Results were not available at the time of the report.
16A 50-year-old Brookfield woman was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, in the 6000 block of West Rawson Avenue about 1:30 a.m. March 3. She was taken to the hospital for a blood test so her BAC could be determined. The results were not available at the time of the report.
ACCIDENTS
17A 59-year-old West Allis woman was taken to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment of injuries after she attempted to make a left turn on a flashing yellow arrow and was struck by an oncoming vehicle at 27th Street and Drexel Avenue at 4:49 p.m. Feb. 21. The woman was cited for failing to yield the right of way, inattentive driving and disregarding a traffic signal.
18A 57-year-old Franklin man was injured and taken to the hospital after he lost control of his car on the snow-covered road in the 8100 block of South 27th Street, left the roadway and struck a utility pole, cracking the pole in half, at 7 p.m. Feb. 26. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
VANDALISM
19A mailbox post was broken in the 3800 block of West Jodi Place before 6:45 p.m. Feb. 26. The owner found the mailbox in the middle of his driveway when he got home.
20Threatening and derogatory comments were written on a bathroom wall at Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., before 3:30 p.m. Feb. 28.
OTHER
21A 17-year-old boy was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon after a canine search led to the discovery of two knives in his vehicle outside Franklin High School, 8222 S. 51st St., at 10:10 a.m. Feb. 26.
22A 25-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody on a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office warrant for second-degree sexual assault of a child after Franklin police pulled him over for driving without a license in the 8800 block of West Loomis Road at 5:40 p.m. Feb. 27.
23A snowman in the 8800 block of South Golden Court was made anatomically correct by a prankster, and also was urinated on, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Feb. 28. An extra patrol was requested in the area.
24A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and arrested for driving after revocation in the 6900 block of South 27th Street at about 10 p.m. March 3. A 29-year-old male passenger in the car was also cited for displaying unauthorized plates.
Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with five rescue calls and one fire call between Feb. 26 and March 3.
