ROBBERY

1A 22-year-old Milwaukee man and a 25-year-old Maryland man were arrested for strong-armed robbery after they refused to pay their cab fare on 27th Street and Ryan Road, and then reached into the vehicle and forcefully took $50 from the cab driver at 4:50 a.m. Feb. 4.

THEFT

2About 180 feet of copper wire and 150 feet of cable wire, valued at $1,800, were stolen from a construction site at Wheaton Franciscan, 10101 S. 27th St., between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 25 and 8:45 a.m. Jan. 28. Surveillance video is being reviewed.

3An 18-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for employee theft after she stole $50 from McDonald's, 7501 W. Rawson Ave., at 9:20 a.m. Jan. 28.

4The rear license plate was stolen off a vehicle parked at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 7 and 8 p.m. Jan. 28.

5A 27-year-old Greenfield woman was arrested on a state charge of shoplifting after she tried to steal $515 worth of merchandise at Walmart, 6701 S. 27th St., at 12:35 p.m. Jan. 29.

6A 51-year-old South Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen hiding packages of meat in his clothing at Walmart, 6701S. 27th St., at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 30.

7A 69-year-old woman reported her watch, valued at $5,000, was stolen at Lectric Beach Tanning Salon, 7229 S. 76th St., at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 1. The woman stated the theft occurred between 10 and 10:20 a.m. Jan. 31.

8A purse containing a smartphone and a debit card, valued at $300, was stolen from a locked car parked at the sledding hill at Whitnall Park, 6701 S. Park Road, between 5:40 and 7 p.m. Jan. 31. The driver-side window was broken to gain entry.

9Police are seeking a 21-year-old West Bend man and an unknown female who shoplifted a $200 cellphone at Target, 7800 S. Lovers Lane Road, between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. Feb. 1.

10A 29-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 22-year-old man were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen hiding merchandise at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, at 5 p.m. Feb. 2.

11An unknown man shoplifted four $33 bottles of Grey Goose vodka and a $28 bottle of Kettle One vodka, at Walgreens, 8527 S. 27th St., at 9 a.m. Feb. 3. The suspect, described as a 5-foot, 7-inch tall black male in his 20s wearing a black coat, gray hat and green khaki pants, put three bottles in his coat and carried two bottles in his hands as he fled eastbound on Ryan Road.

12A set of car keys, garage keys and a purse containing two credit cards, $20, a driver's license and personal items were stolen from a locked car parked at Whitnall Park Golf Course, 6901 S. 92nd St., prior to 4:40 p.m. Feb. 3. A window was broken to gain entry.

DRUG POSSESSION

13A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3600 block of West College Avenue at 11:30 am. Feb. 1.

14A 22-year-old West Allis man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was taken into custody for shoplifting at Menards, 10925 W. Speedway Drive, at 5 p.m. Feb. 2.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

15A 52-year-old Franklin woman was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) in the 2900 block of West Southway Drive at 9:50 p.m. Jan. 28. Her blood alcohol content was unavailable.

16A 44-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle after he crashed his 2000 Ford Mustang in the 9400 block of West Oakwood Road and tried to walk home at 3 a.m. Jan. 30. He was taken to the hospital for a blood test, the results of which were unavailable.

17A 43-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving in the 12300 block of West St. Martins Road at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 1.

18A 23-year-old Franklin man was arrested for drunken driving on 31st Street and Ryan Road at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 2. His BAC was 0.18.

ACCIDENTS

19A 38-year-old Franklin woman was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle, driving too fast for conditions and disorderly conduct after her car left the roadway, struck and knocked over a "No Parking" sign on 51st Street and Drexel Avenue at 11:28 a.m. Jan. 21. The woman drove away after the accident but police found the woman after a piece of her vehicle was left at the scene. When questioned, the woman told police she was forced off the road by another car and didn't feel she needed to report the sign damage or the damage to her vehicle.

20A 54-year-old Missouri woman was taken to the hospital for observation after she drove into the path of an oncoming vehicle while trying to make a left turn on 76th Street and Rawson Avenue at 1:12 p.m. Jan. 24. She was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way and making an improper turn.

21A 28-year-old Oak Creek man was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle and no insurance after his car left the roadway while making a left turn from Rawson Avenue to 51st Street and struck a traffic signal at 6:25 a.m. Jan. 25. The driver left the scene, but reported the accident to police on his way to work.

22A 32-year-old Waterford man was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle after he struck a car that drove into his path, then hit and knocked over a telephone pole on Rawson Avenue and 27th Street at 6:25 p.m. Jan. 25. The driver of the other vehicle, a 33-year-old Illinois man, was also taken to the hospital for observation and was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.

23A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after she was rear-ended by a vehicle while trying to make a left turn at College Avenue and 35th Street at 7:09 p.m. Jan. 25. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 52-year-old Franklin woman, was cited for inattentive driving.

VANDALISM

24The driver-side window of a 2002 BMW was smashed out during a theft attempt while it was parked at Planet Fitness, 6529S. 27th St., at 5:15 a.m. Jan. 29. A witness saw an unknown male sitting in the car, but the subject ran eastbound through the parking lot when the witness pulled up.

OTHER

25A resident in the 6500 block of South 122nd Street reported an injured and bleeding coyote in his yard at 11:55 a.m. Jan. 30. Officers followed the tracks northbound from Rhoder Street between 122nd and 123rd streets, but no signs of blood or injury were seen.

26Two 22-year-old Franklin men were arrested for disorderly conduct after they had a loud argument and began pushing and shoving each other in the 8100 block of South Forest Hills Circle at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 31. One of the men was also arrested for having a valid warrant for possession of marijuana with the Franklin Police Department and was taken to Milwaukee County Jail.

27Officers responding to a loud argument report in the 6300 block of South 27th Street arrested an intoxicated 38-year-old Franklin woman for bail jumping at 7:25 p.m. Feb. 2.

Franklin police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with four rescue calls between Jan. 28 and Feb. 3.
