Franklin's Avatara-Maya Sierra earned a master's degree in English, and Frances Wesolowski a master's degree in school counseling, from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee in December.

Lauren Kaniewski of Franklin earned a bachelor's degree in psychology-human services, summa cum laude, and Justin Stefanski of Franklin in web and digital media development, from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in December.

The following students made the fall semester dean's list at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point: from Franklin, Lauren Kaniewski and Justin Stefanski; from Greendale, Zachary Beard, Sarah Jordan, Travis Kahl, Kirsten Voss and Nathan Walters; from Hales Corners, Allison Heller and Chelsey Marcelini; and from Oak Creek, Jessica Breen, Margaret Cartwright, Jenna Crayton, Aaron Leon, Caitlin Lindsay, Courtney MacDonald and Jamie Nichol.

Paul Lurenz III made the fall semester dean's list at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill.

Kristen Anhalt of Franklin made the fall semester dean's list at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa.

Air Force Airman Christopher J. Samosky graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Samosky, a 2009 graduate of Whitnall High School in Greenfield, is the son of Steve Samosky of Hales Corners.
