Laura Meier and Nic Collins were married Oct. 18, 2008, at Hales Corners Lutheran, Hales Corners.

Parents of the bride are Al and Nancy Meier, Franklin. Parents of the groom are Kevin and Lisa Collins, Greenleaf.

The Rev. Carl Selle and the Rev. Mike Ernst co-officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, Hales Corners.

The bride wore a silk gown with a bodice of beads and crystals.

Maid of honor was Alyssa Meier, Franklin, sister of the bride.

Best man was Justin Collins, brother of the groom.

The bride, who earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, is a senior wellness coordinator at Interra Health.

The groom, who also earned his bachelor's degree at UW-Stevens Point, is a middle school science teacher in Whitefish Bay.

The couple met through the Lutheran campus ministry at UW-Stevens Point.

They will honeymoon in Maine this summer and reside in Franklin.
