Annual City of Franklin Tree Lighting
The annual City of Franklin Tree Lighting ceremony will be held this Sunday December 4th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Franklin Public Library. Caroling, refreshments, and of course a visit from Santa are all in store for you and your family! Please bring a non perishable food good(s) for the local Franklin Food Pantries if you can.
VETERANS DAY PROGRAM
You are invited to attend the Veterans Day Program at the 11th month of the 11th day at the 11th hour (11/11 11:00am) outside at the Veterans Memorial-weather permitting. Otherwise inside the Franklin Public Library Fadrow Room. This is in conjunction with AMVETS POST 60, WILEY HERDA AMERICAN LEGION, CITY OF FRANKLIN and FRANKLIN PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOKS FOR SOLDIERS! There will be a 30-minute outdoor ceremony followed by refreshments in the community room of the library. In the case of inclement weather, the entire program will be held indoors.

Just because the summer reading programs are over, it does NOT mean you have to stop reading. YOUR FRANKLIN PUBLIC LIBRARY still is YOUR portal to the world. We continue to receive new materials in many formats: Hardcover, Paperback, Large Print, DVD's, CD's and ebooks! To access these new materials from either home or the library go to countycat.mcfls.org and click on new materials to see what is out there in libraryland!! Then come "CHECK US OUT!"
