Jennifer is a one in a million stay-at-home mom. (More like one OF a million stay at home moms!) She graduated from a liberal arts college but there is nothing liberal OR artsy about her. She is married to Kevin Fischer of This Just In, and together they have a beautiful young daughter Kyla Audrey. In no particular order she loves dogs, wine, a good bargain, her family, pizza, and entertaining. Follow her blog of all things miscellaneous including but not limited to cooking and baking, entertaining and party planning, being a mommy, and homekeeping.
I’ve been known to have “Mama’s Not Cookin’ Tonight” nights. Even before starting my new part-time job at St. Anthony’s this school year there have been many occasions where the day just got the best of me and dinner would be anything but gourmet. I’m fortunate that there are many meals Kevin and Kyla willingly eat. There are favorites, of course, and an occasional request not to make something. But generally I don’t stress over providing an evening meal for three people.
If you follow local politics, you’ve certainly heard about…
And her latest gaffe.
At an appearance Wednesday at the Milwaukee Athletic Club, Florida Congresswoman and Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who is known for saying stupid things, gave us this:
“Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand. I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality.
“What Republican tea party extremists like Scott Walker are doing is they are grabbing us by the hair and pulling us back. It is not going to happen on our watch.”
Both sides of the political aisle are blasting those comments.
From a Scott Walker campaign office on Milwaukee’s North Shore:
It truly does not seem possible that Kyla began Kindergarten (K5) last week. Please don’t ask me where the year went because I don’t know. While many fun & memorable moments stand out (especially if I look through photos) so much seems like a total blur. Seriously it will seem like a week before she tells me she’s been asked to prom.
