I've written in the past that I'm not the biggest political junkie, but I'm avid enough that I like to pay close attention.
I support Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch, and I really like Tonette Walker. In my attempt to keep up with them I know I can't solely depend on local TV or the local newspaper. Sometimes they cover the governor. Sometimes they don't. And sometimes the coverage is, well, sorry, but blatantly tainted.
Our governor works very hard, so I've decided in my quest to learn more about his activities to share them in a new, hopefully weekly blog. I'm update as much as I can. Here's the first installment. Many of the articles linked to have videos worth watching.
We begin with this announcement from the governor.
"Unemployment has dropped to 6.1% in Wisconsin -- the lowest it’s been since 2008, and we helped Wisconsin create over 100,000 jobs and nearly 17,000 new businesses."
Good news for UW students and their parents.
Another announcement: WI jumped from 4th worst to 6th best in the nation for letting the public examine its checkbook, prompting this editorial.
And how about this photo:
