Your Nose Knows.

The first “real, adult” trip I ever took was to England, the year I graduated from college.  It was a long-time dream to visit that country and I figured I had certainly earned it.  Never one to travel lightly, I had to find as many mini bottles as I could to ensure all my girly toiletry needs were met.  I found a travel-sized bottle of Liz Claiborne’s Realities perfume and snapped it up.  It was the first time I’d be wearing that particular scent and saved it exclusively for my vacation.

Here's to moms...

Every year, my mom would recount a past Mother’s Day conversation she had with a friend.  Although she possessed some very good qualities, Dorothy was an extremely materialistic woman and could speak without thinking.  She asked my mom what she got for Mother’s Day and mom proudly explained that I had made her a hand print on a cork disk to hang on the wall.  “That’s all you got was a hand print?  I got a brand new T.V.”  Well let me tell you, that hand print meant more to my mother than any electronic device.  I highly doubt Dorothy held on to her T.V. years after it stopped working for sentimental value.  My handprint, however, was safely tucked into a memory box that held dozens of other “money can’t buy” treasures for my mom.
