You have to score to win

Not a good weekend for Milwaukee sports fans.

First, the Bucks.

From about 7:15 Friday night to 2:25 this afternoon, the Bucks went dead, being outscored by the Atlanta Hawks, 147-109. You’re not going to win a playoff series scoring 18 points per quarter.

The Brewers.

In their four game series against the Padres in San Diego, they were outscored 21-2. So much for the vaunted Brewer offense.

Now Milwaukee heads to Los Angeles that has very good pitching, and then to Arizona that has been tearing the cover off the ball.

Milwaukee is 5 games under 500, 7 games out of first place in the Central Division, tied for fourth place with lowly Pittsburgh. At the end of the current West Coast road trip, the numbers could be even worse.

Let’s be honest. This is an average to below average Brewer club with two All-Stars, a future Hall of Fame closer who may have finally lost it, and that’s it. I would add a mediocre manager and a 3rd base coach who makes decisions as though he was blindfolded.

I know it’s early but, I’m ready for high school, college, and pro football.
