Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

1 – Payday Loan Bill.
Why is
payday loan stores? We are the only state that doesn’t regulate these storefront loan
sharks. Should people be protected from these predatory lenders, or should they be
allowed to become victims of their own poverty and/or stupidity?
2 – Prison “Escape”.
Isn’t it absolutely mind-boggling that two convicts, including a convicted killer, can
simply walk out of a state prison with forged release documents? They are both later
captured, one at least, on the streets of
think someone should lose their job over this? Shouldn’t state officials be a little more
forthcoming about how this happened, and what’s being done to make sure it doesn’t
happen again?
3 – Paul Ryan.
Wisconsin Republican Congressman Paul Ryan is showing up everywhere. He seems to
be the main critic of the Obama administration economic and health policies. He shows
up on the network news, and all the Sunday morning network talk shows. He keeps
getting mentioned as a possible candidate for president or vice-president in 2012, though
he says he won’t run for president. Would he be a good presidential candidate? Would
he make a good candidate for vice-president? Is he too much of a policy wonk to appeal
to the general public? Some say he is “Kennedyesque.” Is he?
4 – Olympics.
As we get ready for the Winter Olympics, what will be the big stories? Already, beautiful
skier Lindsey Vonn has captured the attention of the public. Who will be the others? Is
