Police are safer where there's conceal carry

The number of permits issued for carrying concealed weapons is on the rise and with it comes a commensurate dip in the number of felonious police officer shooting deaths.

So reports freelance journalist David Alan Cola. Unlike the loopy left that would prefer guns be in the hands of criminals and not law abiding citizens and that consistently cries out ridiculous Wild West comparison, Cola uses facts to back up his claim:

“Despite the increase in the number of legally carried concealed weapons, 41 law enforcement officers were feloniously killed in 2008, a decline of 17 killings from the previous year’s total, according to the 2008 U.S. Department of Justice report, Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted."

Simply put, it means that police officers in Wisconsin, one of only two states without a conceal carry law, are at far greater risk than the overwhelming majority of their counterparts across the country, thanks to Jim Doyle.
