This Just In ...

Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

Phooey on Milwaukee Magazine!

The December issue is out with the cover story, “Sacred Churches.”  Adorning the cover is a magnificent photo of the dome atop St. Josaphat's Basilica.

The magazine mentions the 25 most beautiful and influential churches in Milwaukee. In an obvious sacrilege, it unconscionably fails to mention my beloved St. Anthony’s at 9th and Mitchell.

I invite the writer along with any magazine editor to pay a visit any Sunday to St. Anthony’s for 10:00 Mass to see how “beautiful” a place it truly is and then, in the interest of truthful journalism, make an addendum in the next issue to correct this egregious omission.

Meanwhile, I will continue to pray for the magazine.
