Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

I would be remiss if I did not mention that the Franklin National All-Stars is the team that Devin Baehr was not selected to represent. I have already received an e-mail about this and former Franklin Little League President David Bartels has left a comment on one of my blogs expressing vindication.

It’s obvious the Franklin All-Star team is talented. Would it be even better if Devin Baehr had been selected?
Finally, David Bartels, who just can’t come to grips with the fact that not everyone agrees with him, is raising the irrelevant and silly question of what All-Star should be removed to make room for Devin Baehr. That, of course, is not the issue at hand. No one has made, is making, or will make that crazy suggestion. It is an attempt to divert attention away from the real issue at hand, the snub of a deserving player and an All-Star selection process that could use some improvement.
Again, congratulations to the Franklin All-Stars! Go get ‘em at state!
